« My family and I had a fantastic time staying at the Weir House. Our only regret was that we could only stay one. From the patio of the house, we could hear the rapids of the river and surrounded by verdant forest. Staying here truly was a highlight of our Sri Lanka trip. Mr. Maha, the manager was so very helpful, including assisting us to book a hotel in Kandi when it turned out that the place we originally booked was a huge disappointment. He even arranged 2 tuk tuks to take us to the...

« This hotel has up side and quite a bit down sides. The big up side is the breathtaking view and the perfect staff (Gadjen). The down sides are both the fact that in order to go to Ella you must take a tuktuk. The owner taking advantage of the hotel isolation from the city and chrges unusually expensive rate for breakfast, whuch we were not informed in advance. 2 family breakfast cost as much as a night's stay in the hotel. »

« A fabulous location with excellent views especially from the garden, but the downside was very sketchy wifi and internet, insufficient hotwater for two showers one after another, and a constant pump noise through the night. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the kitchen facilities ie tea making supplies were totally inadequate. The bathrooms in our rooms were very spacious »

« We stayed 4 nights at Walaa Kulu, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The villa is truly luxurious, beautifully furnished, and designed to take full advantage of the stunning panoramic views that surround it. Every room offers a breathtaking outlook — the kind that photos simply cannot capture. The heated pool overlooking the lush green hills was an absolute highlight, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing evening swim even when the air cooled down. What really made our stay unforgettable was...

« + : good view on rice fields, very comfortable bed, very good DIY breakfast in the flat, not too noisy in spite of the main road close by, hot water - : the dampness of the flat with a faint smell of moisture, WiFi did not work properly »
