New to West Coast Cottages for 2021, Seaside Apartment has an enviable and superb position overlooking Oban Bay and the historic McCraigs Tower which can be seen in all its majestic glory fully lite up in its many differing colours each evening.
This apartment is on the 2nd floor of the bilding, fully fitted out to a high standard with all conveniences you would expect, from its spacious living and panoramic window view's over Oban Bay and up to McCraigs tower in the background - you could just sit there and watch the world go by all day. With one double bedroom with en-suite facilities and one twin room with separate family bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need including a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, a fridge/freezer and a stovetop.
One of the main advantages of Seaside Apartment is having its own private car parking space close to the apartment.
Oban is a lively west coast harbour town with lots going on for our visitors. It is central for touring Argyll known as the “Gateway to the isles”, with beautiful hikes, casual walks, or boat trips to see some wildlife. There is a lovely sandy beach at Ganavan which is 1½ miles away or Tralee just 5 miles out.
You are within easy walking distance of the facilities Oban has to offer, including Costa café right below you and the new delicatessens opposite the main entrance. In keeping with its reputation as the “seafood capital of Scotland” you also have many excellent restaurants to choose from, likewise, cafés, pubs, galleries, viewpoints, shops and of course Oban's famous distillery.
There are lovely walks from your front door, following the bay south past Oban's Yacht club towards the Kerrera ferry and heading north through Oban and to Dunollie Castle. Onward you can head to Oban's beach – Ganavan, or you can head north by car and explore Port Appin's coastal area and Castle Stalker. With only an hour's drive north you can visit Glencoe and Fort William and to the east is Inveraray complete with the truly magnificent castle and infamous Jail. The spectacular coastline offers pleasant walks along the esplanade at sunset with unspoilt views of the islands of Kerrera, Mulland Lismore with ferries sailing to these islands and many more from Oban daily, allowing you to hop on and off easily throughout the year for the Ideal explorer visit.

Lovely apartment and town.
Lovely apartment. Our 3rd stay there. Couldn't be bettered. Very comfy ,seems like a 2nd home now. Oban is a proper town. Good interesting shops, very good eating places. Wonderful fish and chips. Can recommend the battered haggis.!!!!!!

A comfortable stay
This is a great place to stay in Oban. With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, beautiful views over the harbor, nearby parking and a well equipped kitchen, it is an ideal base for exploring the area. The apartment is literally next to the train station and the ferry terminal, and is only steps from the shops and restaurants of Oban.

Terrific view of Oban Harbor included. Across the street from the train station and bus station and right by the Ferry to Mull. Good storage in the bathrooms. Recommended highly with fabulous seafood nearby!

Very comfortable accommodation. Comfortable beds and powerful showers. Having your own parking space in Oban is a big bonus. A bit of traffic noise, but not enough to bother us. Would certainly recommend.

We were in Oban for a funeral and this apartment suited our needs perfect.
We needed accommodation as we were attending a family funeral . This apartment was central to all our needs and was perfect for us. We only stayed 3 nights but it was lovely and clean and warm. Thank you.

Great summer holidays
Great location in the busy town centre at the harbour, with good views of Oban‘s promenade and the bay. Cosy, well equipped apartment on the 2nd floor; warm, helpful customer service. On the weekend temporarily exuberant musical atmosphere in the street, due to the local pub scene. Well located for participation in Oban's city life, with only a few minutes walk to the pier of the ferry terminal, the fishing boats, the small train station, the cafes, pubs, restaurants, as well as the supermarkets and shopping facilities. A good starting point for exploring the west coast, from Kintyre, over the Inner Hebrides, over the Highlands to Inverness. It was a great two-week family holiday.

New Year in Oban
A lovely flat in an ideal location , handy for ferries , public transport , local shops and places to eat .
We enjoyed a cosy stay at New Year with a wonderful view of the Hogmanay fireworks from McCaig's Tower .
A great advantage is having the private parking beside the flat .

Excellent. Stayed last year.
The flat is ideally situated right in the centre of Oban, and is clean and comfortable. We stayed last year, when there were a couple of problems, mainly with chairs, that were very promptly dealt with. This year we found new dining chairs and had no problems at all.

Perfect location
Spotlessly clean, very well equipped, right in the centre of things. We had lovely day trips from Oban and meandered along the seafront daily.
I will say that if you have mobility issues, the apartment is on the second floor with 3 flights of stairs…a bit hard with suitcases. Other than that tiny glitch it was wonderful!

What an extraordinary experience. The location is perfect. The view from the living room is probably unequalled in Oban. Look to one side and you get a panoramic view of Oban. Look to the other side and you get a wonderful bay view. The location is near everything--the train station, the ferry, and all the best Oban has to offer. Everything was very smooth, very clean, very safe, and very comfortable for two couples travelling together. If I am lucky enough to return to Oban, I hope I get to stay here.

Superb central location
Lots of great things about this property. Central location has to be top affording walking access to shops, restaurants, supermarket, beach, harbour, folly, castle, ferry, train. Parking a bonus.
Spacious property boasting 2 bath/shower rooms, well equipped, stunning views.
Only negatives were: noise from budget hostel/pub to the rear late at night (which was only bothersome at the weekend) and storage heaters, one of which pumped heat even when off.
Otherwise, we had a comfortable stay and enjoyed all Oban had to offer.

Great apartment, very central
Seaside apartment was an excellent base for our stay in Oban, with amazing views over the water and town. The whole apartment was well appointed and very well equipped, especially the kitchen. My only negative comment would be about the comfort of the twin beds, with a very uncomfortable matress.
A big plus is the dedicated car parking space within a private car park. West Coast were very responsive to any problems and the key access worked very well. The 37 stairs up to the second floor help keep you active.

A fantastic base
The apartment is a fantastic touring base for 2 couples. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The front room overlooks Oban's Bay. Car parking space provided. Eating out within a few steps of the door and several big supermarkets with a few minutes walk or drive. Outside the door is the train station buses and ferries to Mull and beyond.
Arriving at the apartment is easy and welcoming with the bottle of wine and chocolates.

A Very Comfortable Stay.
This was a very rushed booking by myself but Gemma made it way much easier by keeping direct contact.
The apartment itself is gorgeous and very clean. Everything you would want to have at home was there although on holiday we don't do much cooking if any. The flat is in a central location with great views across the harbour and a private parking space included in the price as was the WiFi although the signal was a bit weak in certain areas of the property..
Plenty of information was also available by the host on local activities and services along with legal stuff relating to renting property. Local shops and coffee houses right on your doorstep along with a Wetherspoons, The Olive Garden and a Local Shellfish shop on the pier.
We also had a chance to watch the Oban High School bagpipe band from the comfort of our living room.
I had read reviews about the bar at the rear of the property which had karaoke on a Friday & Saturday night but we weren't aware of it. We did stay only on the Friday though.
All in all we had a great time

I was extremely disappointed to find no tea, coffee and milk in the apartment. We have hired cottages ,apartments in UK, Canada, USA, Australia, and New Zealand. Every place that we have hired has always had tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Also the main outside door to exit into the road and shared by all of the flats in the block was faulty. On the first day I went to open the door by turning the turn button to get out. This came away in my hand, effectively this was a fire hazard!! My husband managed to repair it and we reported it to Sandie. The apartment was dressed to look good, but there were no instructions on how to use the appliances, again these are normally in the rental property. Also the night storage heaters were not set high enough in the main lounge as it was very cold when we stayed at the apartment.
