Travelodge Ocala

The Travelodge in Ocala provides good service, however it needs maintenance and some painting. The service was good and the price was good. Everything was clean and neat, but way out of date.

Hotel was good for the price

Hotel met my expectations. Room was kept clean by the staff. Room was a bit outdated, but clean enough, for my stay. Receptionist was decent. Free cont breakfast was free, that's about it. Breakfast had 2 stale cereals and a couple of muffins. Good thing it was free, because I would not have paid $1 for it. Overall, not bad for the $$$.

Not Impressed

We paid for a suite, which we did not recieve. Times for the continental breakfast were incorrectly posted and the staff was rude when we went down to eat when we thought they were still serving. It is in a terrible part of town. If you are just passing through on I75 then it works for the night. Not for a week. Will not be returning.

Stayed here for 3 days & if I had time I would have stayed another week. Great price. Pleasant staff. Great breakfast - 2 cereals, plus oatmeal, 3 different muffins, toaster & Microwave for use, white & whole wheat bread, 2 kinds of bagels, cream cheese & jams, tea, coffee, apple & orange juice, also Apples & oranges Great room for breakfast with about 10 tables & a flat screen TV All this included with such a low priced room.

STAY~ AWAY!!!!!!

This ia an old motel that has NOTbeen refurbished since the 1970's. In very bad repair, broken tile in bathroom, water spots on ceiling, carpet filthy, beds lumpy, running toilet , VERY BAD section of town, everything unsanitary, Ugh! DO NOT book this property.

The commode did not work and the air conditioner did not work. We called the front desk and they did take care of it and everything worked.

Get what you pay for

Stayed there for 5 nights while house hunitng in the Ocala area. WiFi service was very important and the hotels WiFi was out for the entire 5 days. Rooms reminded me of a flop house. TV cable was snowy, ice machines broken, lousy breakfast, but it was a cheap roof over my head. Next time I will shop around a little more before booking.

Bad Experience

The staff in this place was very disrepectful. It was dirty. When we got in out room and shut the door it had a gap under it you could stick your hand through. It had roack bugs in the bath tub. The heating and air could not be regulated. I would not recomend this place for anyone.

Bargain for the Bucks!

This is a great bargain for the money, older but clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and polite! Booked thru Expedia with quick no hassle late night check in. Very handy location to I75 and Hwy 40. Breakfast was well stocked, even late and had a variety of fruit as well as the usual. Have stayed here on 2 visits and will stay again. Waffle House right across the street for 24 hour hunger.

Perfect central location

If you are looking to be in the Ocala / Gainesville area this hotel was conveniently located next to 75 and restaurants. Perfect for visiting colleges in the Gainesville area and spending a day in Orlando.

You got what you paid for.

It was perfect for my situation. I only spent the evenings in the room and it was close to the 1-5. Away from the main area so little quieter which was nice. It was nice to have your own fridge too.

Bad Experience

The entrance to the main door was not open after 9:00 and everyone had to check in thrugh a small side office, the outside did not have lighting, and the check in people were not curteous at all. The hotel could be cleaner and the TV Remote control did not work.

A "so so" experience!

Hotel in need of exterior update and better grounds upkeep. Did not like the specific location of the hotel. That area seemed a little run down. The room however was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Basic free continental breakfast was good. Maid service was good. I think if you get a room on the "pool side" you'll have a better experience! Make sure you call the hotel ahead of time to get a room in a decent location. Avoid the rear of the hotel. Dark and secluded.

What a dump...

Hair floated out of the mat in the tub during my shower, there was soap and shampoo left on the wall in the shower, floors were unvacumed, pipes made noise all night long. The sheets were old and worn, my top sheet had holes in it. Floor was filthy under the bed and along the wall. What a dump!

Satisfied with our stay

We were there on a househunting trip of several days' duration. The hotel was centrally located to all of our areas of interest, so we were pleased to find reasonably priced accommodations that were clean and comfortable. The room was a little musty smelling when we first arrived, necessitating a spray down with fabric freshener and leaving the fan on for awhile, but this was not a problem again for the rest of our stay. The room was cleaned and made up daily while we were out and the continental breakfast was enjoyable.

Very nice staff, CLEAN sheets.Good place for an overnighter on the way to Disney

Stayed 1 night on our way to Disney. Checked in late. Parking for rooms on the pool side is a little inconvenient when carrying in bags, but not too bad. Sheets were clean and micro/fridge came in handy traveling with an infant. Staff was nice at check in/out.
