Beautiful building, great pub & lovely staff. Very helpful. Special thanks to Georgie who seemed to be juggling alot, but was very calm and helpful and a 5 star credit to The Bull. Would stay again. The bed was so comfy!

A lovely spot and a great team of staff at the hotel. Rooms were lovely although the variance between our room and our friends in size was quite dramatic and priced equally, They had a 4 poster and we were very small double. Both rooms were lovely though. Minor details like curtains hanging down and windows needing repair. Well ran, polite and attentive team and a great spot for a wander around Olney or a trip to MK for a gig.

Another enjoyable stay
I have stayed here before and will stay again. The hotel is just lovely and quirky in a good way. The staff are always so polite and helpful. The room and the bed are so comfortable which is another reason why I return to the Bull. The restaurant is very good providing well cooked food. It's also a pleasant place to be too, with lots of natural light. Definitely will be staying in again.

The bull
Good rooms, although the best rooms are not much different from the classic rooms in our experience. Very minor point, the lights switches for the toilet are by the front door and bed which is not near the loo.

Lovely Christmas Stay
Actually, it wasn’t me who stayed, I’d booked for my daughter and husband while visiting for Christmas, but they were very happy with their stay, which was a relief as I’d booked it for them! They also said the breakfast was great.

A good stay….
Our 3 day stay was fine , the staff were efficient and friendly, the breakfast was very good and our room was cleaned every day….Only small problem was an unlevel bed which felt like you were falling out !

Always a great stay.
Always a good stay here. Some creaky floorboards but what do you expect from a beautiful old building. Rooms are fabulous and there is a great selection of food on the menu and in the surrounding area. There is also the lovely Emberton Country Park around the corner for those morning walks.

Beautiful location but service could be improved
We stayed for three nights in December 2023. Check-in was smooth, with no issues. We stayed in the stable room. The room was large with a king-size and single bed. The lighting in the room wasn't the best, especially given how dark the room was. You could hear mice running behind the walls at night, too. Storage in the room was limited to a single wardrobe. I had to ask several times for more coat hangers. Breakfast was acceptable; however, on our last morning, the service was appalling; we waited 55 minutes for breakfast! I asked for an update twice and finally had to approach the kitchen to be advised our order hadn't been started. The manager apologised and explained that he had just arrived on shift and the whole service was a disaster. Not the most reassuring comment We asked for a refund on Bill but were advised this wasn't possible

Thank you for your feedback.I am sorry that your final morning was disappointing, a point I will raise with all staff involved.We dont actually charge for breakfast, its inclusive in room rate. some people take advantage of this, others leave early or dont like to eat breakfast.On a positive note, we are now looking to separate room and breakfast costs. Allowing guests a choice.Kind regards

Excellent service
The Bull Hotel was a very nice pub, the staff were friendly and the service was excellent. The chef was in hospital so they couldn’t offer any food in the evening but the staff recommended somewhere else to eat and ensured I knew where to go. There was also a problem with the heating but they had someone on site straight away to look at the problem and provided a heater for my room just in case. In the morning the staff cooked the breakfast themselves to ensure we had a breakfast as the chef was still away.

Fantastic visit
This was our 2nd visit to the bull hotel. First time to stay overnight. Lovely staff, very friendly. Did not eat this time, but ate in restaurant on our last visit and food was fantastic. Rooms were great, fantastic toiletries provided, and hair dryer was brilliantly compared to what you usually get in hotels! Breakfast was good. Will be back!

I recently stayed at The Bull Hotel in Olney and found it quite comfortable. The staff were really accommodating, especially considering we had a baby with us. They switched our room to one with a bath, which was a big help. Our room was at the back of the hotel, so it was nice and quiet. It was well-equipped, with a good bath, separate shower, and tea and coffee facilities. The food, especially the breakfast, was good. They have a nice selection of ales as well. Overall, it’s a good place to stay in Olney. It’s central but still quiet, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Lovely pub with rooms
This is a lovely pub and the rooms are really lovely And finished to a very good std. My only issues were that there are a good - but specific- range of breakfast options (all made to order) but to run out was disappointing (especially it was yogurt and fruit)! I think if you offer a breakfast menu - your basics should be available at all times. The bucket chairs in the room could do with a clean on the arms (something had been spilled and was left there leaving whitish residue)

Great stay at the hotel. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was good and good atmosphere in the bar. Limited parking at the rear of the pub so makes parking a challenge but other than that very happy with our stay.

its a wonderful 17th century coach house full of character. What impressed us most was the friendly helpfulness of the staff. We were caught in a storm and one of our party had had to book at a B&B down the road because the Bull was full. She (a young woman who wasn't very well) has said she wouldn't be there till about 10pm. when she got there in a howling gale and pouring rain the person wouldn't let her in because it ws too late!. so she came up the road to The Bull where the staff couldn't have been more helpful and caring. They found her a room and were concerned for her well being. especially Noreen. The staff were all lovely and made you want to go back.

Lovely stay - would recommend
Great place to stay with lovely food. My only feedback is that the room could have done with a bit of dusting around areas that don't need doing all the time - places like the ceiling lights. Otherwise it was clean. Bed was comfortable, nice fluffy towels and usual hot drinks provided. The room was excellent value for money, especially with breakfast included, which is off the menu, lots of choice. Breakfast is served from 7.30am but as it's off the menu, it takes a little while to be cooked etc so I found needing to leave for 8 a little rushed, but totally worth it for the delicious eggs benedict i had.

This quirky little hotel was lovely and ample for our needs. Well equipped room and young lady that greeted us was so lovely. Showed us where everything was and left us to settle in. Creaky floors but that added to the character.. The pub was quiet but friendly. Breakfast was amazing. The old/modern twist was great. Loved our stay so much, we have re booked.

Lovely high std rooms with great restaurant
This place is GORGEOUS! I stayed in 2 rooms as I was alone for a couple of nights then my husband joined me so we moved to a bigger room. The std of rooms is very high, lovely furnishings and spotlessly clean. We stayed during a very HOT spell of weather so we used the fan in the room which was adequate but not great - I guess that’s not easy for any hotel in this country. The food in lovely - I ate there all 3 nights I stayed and had something different each nice and wasn’t disappointed! The only gripe was I think they start breakfast too late at 7.30am. For business people this is too late. I wanted to leave at 7.30am. But then Every guest turned up at 7.30 so meant it was frustratingly slow and I had to wait for 25 mins to get fruit and yogurt and then down it in 5 mins to get going - I was 30 mins late for my first meeting. I understand only a few rooms also they don’t need more than 1 person in the kitchen, but when you have people ordering full English but some people like me want a light quick brekkie that takes a few mins to put together - it’s a bit frustrating. Anyway, I would definitely stay again.

Could do better
I would describe the hotel as grubby. It’s a mish mash of rustic/modern. Our room was at the front overlooking the main road & traffic lights so we couldn’t open the windows because of fumes/noise. There was a tiny Victorian wardrobe with 3 hangers, a rustic dressing table and wash stand with modern sink. No drawer space. The bare floorboards sloped towards the door. Very nice walk in shower & separate toilet. Housekeeping was confined to pulling the bed up & leaving the extra pillows and giant cushions on the floor. The staff were very nice. Breakfast was poor but the evening meal we had was good. As we left another guest was shouting at a member of staff about her room & threatening to put pictures on the internet if things didn’t improve!
