Sproul Lakefront Storybook Cottage

Das Sproul Cottage liegt auf einer Rasenfläche bis zum See, umgeben von Eichen-, Kiefern-, Kreppmyrten- und Mimosenbäumen. 6 Morgen insgesamt. Die große private Terrasse ist mit Stühlen, Nachttischen und Deckenventilatoren ausgestattet. Auf dem von englischen Hecken definierten Sproul-Hof gibt es einen Holzkohlegrill mit Beistelltisch, eine Feuerstelle und einen Stapel kostenloses Brennholz. Jenseits des Hofes in der größeren parkähnlichen Gegend gibt es eine Hufeisengrube und große Schaukeln, die Jung und Alt gleichermaßen lieben! Dieses Cottage ist insgesamt 75 m² groß, hat zwei Schlafzimmer - ein privates Queen-Size-Schlafzimmer und zwei Einzelbetten im Loft-Schlafzimmer - und ein komplettes Badezimmer und bietet Platz für maximal vier (4) Gäste. Die Küchenzeile ist mit Geschirr, Besteck, Grundausstattung, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Gasherd und Backofen, Mikrowelle und Kühl- / Gefrierschrank ausgestattet. Zentralheizung und Klimaanlage. Der Preis basiert auf einer Belegung von zwei (2) Gästen, 20 USD / Nacht für jede weitere Person bis zu maximal vier (4) Personen. Keine nicht angemeldeten Gäste auf dem Grundstück erlaubt.

My husband, 16 year old, and myself all stayed for 9 days. We had so much fun fishing, spending time playing games, and just resting. There is no wifi or tv, which was a little adjustment. But it made us put our phones away (other than pictures) and really focus on each other. Tom and Katherine are so kind and helpful! The cottage was clean and so cute!

A darling cottage, a breathtaking view of the lake and the very best southern hospitality.
CHARMED by this sweet little cottage. Appreciate all the fine details. The retro kitchen was the cutest! Spent most of our time on the porch overlooking the lake. Listening to so many song birds, watching turtles makes their way to and from the lake and squirels scurry about with wild abandon. Tom, Old Camp Joy's host, was the best! Superior communication! Jefferson, one of our favorite places to visit, was a little over a thirty minute drive. Recommend McGarity's Restaurant and Saloon for atmosphere and eats. We highly recommend this stay! I would grab a couple extra throws and some coffee before you come to maximize your enjoyment of the porch. Anna

Lakeview Cottage Vacation
Loved it. Lacking wifi and spotty phone reception was an advantage. Kids and adults were mostly unplugged for the duration of our stay. They were busy outside, just being kids, playing on the lake shore, having a horseshoe toss competition and generally goofing off. The view from the porch facing the lake was breathtaking especially at sunrise. If nothing else, it's worth the trip! Son and husband spent time trying to catch fish and even though they caught grass, clothing and random stuff, they loved it enough to want another trip to try for the bass our neighbors did catch. Cottage is clean, well-kept and cozy. The kitchenette is adequately stocked- comes with a well-seasoned cast-iron skillet. Knives are sharp. Hosts are gracious, welcoming and friendly. They were attentive and made the overall experience worth it. Thank you Tom and Kathy for having us and we'll be back in the summer hopefully. Try Mary's cinnamon rolls. They're delicious.

Beautiful Property
The property is beautiful. We could see the lake from our back porch. It was too cold and wet to use the paddle boats but the outdoors around us were just beautiful. If you love birds, they were everywhere !! It was very peaceful. The hosts Kathleen and Tom were very accommodating. Checked on us daily to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything. They are the ultimate hosts ! You’ll love staying at the cottage !

I was bit surprised to find out it was media free. However, thats not the owners fault. I just missed it on the listing. Lol. Beautiful place. We had an amazing time. Lovely Lake Cottage

Hidden Gem!
This is our 2nd stay at Sproul House, and we were able to enjoy all the extra amenities on the lake this time (it was too cold on our 1st trip). We loved using the 3 different types of boats to look around the lake and fish. As we experienced the 1st time, the cabin was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and Tom and Katherine see to every little detail inside the cabins and out with a great view of the lake for watching the sunset in the evening or sunrise in the morning with your coffee. The lake is beautiful, and this is such a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. We love this place and will definitely be back soon!

Awesome experience!!!
This was exactly what we needed. The cabins are beautiful as well as the lake. We fished two days while there, about 3 hours each day and caught 9 catfish. The kids had a blast with the local animals . They loved to feed the horses & donkey as well as spend time with the other animals . While there turtles were hatching across the property . The kids were even able to return a few to the lake. I can’t recall staying at a more peaceful place. The price was excellent and the owners are simply amazing people.. I’d rate them 5 stars too :) The pictures are great online but trust me they do not do it justice. There are also great local restaurants we tried & all recommendations were great. There are grills at every cottage for your convenience as well. I could go on & on. Well done!! Will visit again!

Best place to get away from it all.
This is a wonderful place to unplug from the outside world and reconnect with your husband or wife. You can't find a better place for peace and quit and sitting on the porch and looking at a beautiful lake full of unspoiled nature. You're not sitting on your porch looking across the lake at someone else sitting on their porch looking at you sitting on yours. The three nights that we stayed, we felt like we were the only people for miles around. Tom and his wife who Owen the property are good people who care about their guests but don't intrude on you either.

2nd time staying
This was our second time staying at Old Camp Joy and we will be back for a third. Tom was easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions before and during our stay. The grounds are beautiful even in winter. We were able to bring our own Kayak this time for some fishing. It rained for most of a day and Tom offered us games to keep us occupied. It’s a great place to get away and recharge in a beautiful setting.

This was a quick birthday getaway for my husband and we were looking for a quiet place to stay. This place ended up as the perfect place. Wonderful Lake Oasis!
We loved this property and will definitely be back! It was THE MOST clean, adorable property I've ever stayed at. Sometimes you see pictures of properties that look updated and clean but when you get there it looks different. That is not the case with this cottage. It was meticulously decorated and they thought of every detail. This overlooks a beautiful lake and there are horseshoes, boats and swings for you to use. Just like the cottage, the outdoor stuff is well maintained as well. Can't wait to go back when it gets warmer. Thanks for the quick weekend getaway!

Another great stay with beautiful views.
This time we rented all three houses on the property. The views of Lake of the Pines is gorgeous. This rental is comfortable and the cleanest you’ve ever rented. There is a flat bottom boat at the waters edge as well as a canoe and a kayak. Tom and Katherine are available in the event you need anything. We loved it.
