I was VERY disappointed with the cleanliness and condition of this condo during our recent stay.
As to the cleanliness, the walls in several rooms were gross and especially the doors, it did not look like any of the doors had ever been cleaned. There was a dirty handprint on the wall in the hallway, very gross and creepy. The a/c return was incredibly filthy, as if the filter had never been changed. My husband and daughters and I all woke up with respiratory issues each morning and I suspect this was the culprit, since we slept in the rooms near the return. I really hope that is not why I am still suffering from a respiratory illness two weeks later, but it might be, as things like that really affect my asthma. There appeared to be mucus and possibly blood and maybe makeup prints on the walls. The baseboards throughout the entire unit were disgustingly filthy. There was visible dirt in the corners of the rooms, high and low. When we arrived, there was a terrible mildew smell coming from one of the bathrooms. I immediately alerted the owner who came over and changed the shower curtain and cleaned the tub. That temporarily resolved the smell issue, but the tub still appeared dirty and the smell returned when I bathed my daughters that night. The rug in the living area was dirty, it looked as if it had not been vacuumed after the previous guests.
As to the condition, the guest bathroom sink clogs almost instantly. Much of the wall decor is peeling. The mural in the dining area looks extremely shoddy as it does not fit, still has measurements marked on the wall, and is peeling and torn. The mirror in the master bath is also peeling. The walls are terribly banged up in all the rooms, and I understand some of that is to be expected in a rental with people moving in and out with luggage, but this was well beyond what I would expect and was not apparent in the listing photos. An outlet in the guest bedroom did not work.
The unit looked very nice in the pictures and we were terribly disappointed and would not have stayed, let alone paid what we did, had we known the accurate condition of the unit.
The community was gated, but there were apparently homeless folks making camp right outside the gate.
I advised the owners of all these issues and sent them 21 pictures showing the poor condition of the unit. They responded, "We regret that you were not satisfied with your stay." No compensation was offered.
