I stayed at this property in Feb, and several issues affected my stay. The listing advertised a private pool/spa, but the spa was not functioning for roughly half of my trip. At check‑in, the spa had low water levels, non‑functioning jets, and no heat. Later, the timer stopped working as well. On my planned “break day,” the spa was cold, which was a major disappointment. The heater is in a side yard that requires walking through mud. The spa only became fully functional on the last day of my stay. It was nice then. There were also temperature‑control issues inside the house. During cooler weather, the A/C repeatedly set itself to a low temperature. The house manual was not accessible through VRBO and only loaded after the host texted me a link. The thermostat instructions referenced a model that is not installed in the home, so they were not helpful. I eventually figured it out, but only with outside assistance. I could not find a paper copy of the house manual. The master bedroom also appears to be on a separate system; it was noticeably warmer and stuffier than the main living areas. After checkout, the host contacted me asking that I reach out to them before leaving anything less than a top review. This made me uncomfortable, as reviews should reflect actual experiences. I would not stay again, as I booked for a functioning spa for the entire stay. I didn't not get it. The host doesn't think it was any big deal. No refund (not that I asked, but VRBO did).
