„We really enjoyed our stay at the Chandelier Lodge which was in a nice location in the Karoo just outside of Oudtshoorn. The staff was also really kind and helpful. We can recommend having dinner there (both vegetarian and with meat) and we loved seeing their two giraffes. Our clean room was nicely decorated and equipped with everything we needed. We would always come back.“

„When we arrived at our destination very tired and hungry we got told that this place was fully booked. They made a dou le booking. Then the owner Hennie made a plan for us to stay in a cottage outside of oudshoorn. We did not make any plans for food as we thaught we will load off our baggage and get something to eat. But then we had to drive outside of town with nothing. There was no Wifi and we had to drive with our car up a mountain. We were very upset about this as i had 2 small children ...

„Hotel is some 15km outside Oudshoorn, so make sure you have directions! Room was clean and very comfortable. Lorries ( the owner ) offered diner to save driving around. We gladly accepted and his wife cooked a wonderful three course meal for us and Lorries opened his treasure chest of wine for us. The only catch was our Agenda did not allow for staying another day ;-) Since we have been driving on a lot on gravel road before we came, the gardeners decided not let us go that way and washed the ...

„We stayed here for one night en route to the wine area. Great place to break our journey after driving from Prince Albert, via Swartberg Pass and Cango Caves. Enjoyed a drink on terrace watching sunset over the mountains, before having a lovely meal, cooked and served by the owners. Breakfast on terrace was fresh and tasty too“
