The perfect B&B

We stayed 4 nights at the Spanger House B&B in February/March 2014. Everything was perfect. The hosts made us really feel at home. Steve´s breakfast was the best we have had during a couple of years of travelling. We gonna be back soon in Ouray.

Tolles Bed und Breakfast

Meine Tochter und ich waren 2 Tage im Spangler House. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet mit eigenem Bad. Alles ist sehr sauber. Steven, der Hausherr, kümmert sich um alles. Er macht ein fantastisches Frühstück - jeden Tag gibt es etwas anderes.In der Küche stehen den Gästen ein mit Kaltgetränken gut gefüllter Kühlschrank , Obstschalen,Knabbersachen, sowie Tee und Kaffee jeder Zeit zur Verfügung.Auf der Terasse gibt es einen Hot Tub. Die Gegend heißt nicht umsonst "amerikanische Schweiz".Man kann dort Reiten gehen, einen ATW Tour machen oder in einer heißen Quelle baden gehen.

An absolutely wonderful place. We will be back !!

It's really cute, private bathrooms and close to shops and restaurants. You can walk anywhere. Very nice owners and all around was a perfect place!

Great location.

Clean and comfortable rooms with lots of amenities. Friendly knowledgable hosts and an amazing breakfast. Beautiful view from back porch and deer grazing in the front yard. We thought we would go to the hot springs to soak after our fourteener ascent, but the hot tub was wonderful and more convienient!

B&B exceptionnel!!

In the middle of town

Of course Ouray is so small that almost everything could be considered in the middle of town, but it is a short walk to main street and the bars/restaurants. Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of food. They also provided a fridge stocked with water and soda that we had free access to at any time in the kitchen.

We relaxed 4 days at this B&B. Great location! Enjoyed the large common areas for relaxing. Hosts very conversational.

Politics

We were surprised to see one of the owners reading a book in the common area with the Fox News channel on the TV set. We would have preferred soft music. Fox News was a dead give away of the owners political preferences. And, he let it be known when the discussion turned to politics. Also, he like others, needs to understand the definition of Socialism.

Cleanest B&B ever!

Easy to recommend this B&B---the whole house was spotless and clean. Our room was perfect. The breakfast was a delight with Steve doing a phenomenal job in the kitchen each morning. This is located just off the main street in Ouray with all the bars and restaurants 2 minutes away. I'd recommend this place to all my friends.

Great Place To Stay

Really enjoyed staying at the Spangler House. The innkeeper was very friendly and socialable. Offered great advice of the area, places to eat and see. This is a place I plan on coming back to.

Perfect Ouray hideaway

Great location nestled in the Rockies. Killer views from the hot tub on the back deck. Clean, cozy rooms. Gourmet breakfasts. Outstanding service. What's not to like? We will be back!

Wonderful getaway!!! Great service

Nice Anniversary Weekend

We got in late on a Friday night and were happily greeted by the owner. Great breakfast, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Loved the hot tub in the snow :)

Great mountain getaway!

My husband and I were small mountain town hopping through Colorado and were thrilled when we found such a great deal right in the middle of the beautiful Ouray! Cute clean room and a delicious breakfast!

Perfect

What a wonderful surprise tucked in off the main street of Ouray. The home was large and welcoming. We felt completely comfortable not just in our own spacious room with its private bath but in the entire house itself. The house was immaculately clean. Steve welcomed us with "help yourself to bottled water, soda, tea, muffins, fresh fruit and granola bars and MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME." All 4 upstairs rooms were identical with one queen bed, sitting area, TV, private bath and coffee maker. There were two larger downstairs rooms. We did not use the home's hot tub but there were guest towels if needed. Breakfast included fresh fruit with yogurt, homemade banana bread, homemade buttermilk blueberry pancakes, maple sausage, juices and coffee roasted to Steve's specifications. O'Brien's Pub offered a very reasonable menu (great Happy Hour from 4-6) with excellent service! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return. The hot springs were amazing as always and Spangler House offered $3 off each ticket. Thank you!
