Very beautiful and clean resort. We had issues on first night with no a/c. Our thermostat was locked. Reported to front desk but they were a no show. I reported it again the next morning. Maintenance said they would look at it. When we arrived back at room it was working with no communication or anything for the night without air. On Saturday morning housekeeping was banging on our door at 8:15 wanting to clean our room. We were still sleeping. When we returned to our room at 4:00 it wasn’t serviced. Husband called for towels and toiletries. They were brought to room. At 5:00 pm about an hour later, we both had showered and relaxing in the nude on our bed. Housekeeping knocks three times. My husband rushes to door but before he can get there they have opened the door and started into our room. Completely caught off guard and embarrassed. There were resort fees added each day to a already very steep bill for our stay.

The hotel was very clean and every staff member was pleasant and attentive. Very convenient being right on the beach and the outdoor restaurant was fabulous. The only thing we didn’t like was that there were very few lights in the room and no overhead at all, and no luggage racks in the room so nowhere to put your suitcase unless you put it on the counter. But otherwise very nice hotel and parking right outside the hotel was nice.

This has the potential to be a very lovely place to stay, HOWEVER, this newly renovated hotel has MANY quirks to fix. There was NO air-conditioning in the room and NO hot water. Also, there were wonky plugs in the room and some safety hazards. My daughter was almost badly injured by a safety lock on the door that stuck out at eye height as you entered the room. When I brought these to the attention to the desk, they continued to put me off. The manager when I finally spoke to him was condescending and not trustworthy with what he promised to do about the situation. There were many many people complaining about similar issues at the hotel. One family booked a room with 2 queens and were given a king with a cot. The staff was pleasant, but most likely being paid to put people off. They said someone would get back to see soon when I spoke to them, but no one did. I had to stand at the desk and insist to speak to a manager who took along time coming. By the end of the visit, he became rather threatening. I am a flexible person and am not one to usually complain, and I certainly wasn't the only one there with these issues, but I was treated as if I was being ridiculous. As we waited in the lobby, a maintenance man was sent to fix the AC in someone's room. The couple were told a few minutes later and sent to the room and we heard the maintenance man say, "Yeah, that did nothing," when he came back to the desk. The hotel is nicely decorated and in a lovely spot so there is potential

We checked in and everything seemed fine. We changed and headed directly to the beach which was beautiful. Upon returning to our room to shower and get ready for dinner we found out we had no water in the shower, no hot or cold water period. We had to do wet wipe showers because we had dinner reservations with friends and didn’t want to be late. After returning from dinner we contacted the front desk and all they could do is move us from our beautiful 4 th floor balcony room to a room on the 1st floor. There is no ocean view and if you go out on the patio you are literally sitting with the guest that are dining outside. For $2,400.00 for two nights we expected better. I will update this review and let you know if the manager at least tries to make things right. Very disappointing thus far!

I stayed at the Tideline when it was a Kimpton. I booked when it was a Marriott. I understand the hotel has gone through a major renovation, but there's still a lot to be done. The email address listed on the website was wrong. The phone in-room was broken and the main line (which I had to call from my cell phone) was disconnected. There was a broken button in the elevator. The gym was unairconditioned. My first room had a broken patio door. And my second room had a guest smoking on the balcony next to mine, which made my balcony unusable. The staff was eager and kind -- that's the bright spot! There were virtually no guests in the hotel. I think the Tideline should close down for a bit longer and make some necessary improvements.

Beautiful location. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were not impressed with the restaurant though. $8.00 for a cup of relatively weak black coffee seems a little steep. A very simply breakfast for two people cost over $80.00. We would definitely stay there again, but would not eat at the facility.

Staff was all very welcoming. Property was as advertised. The food on the premises was of very high quality. The pool and hot tub temps seem to be mixed up my entire stay but the warm pool felt great when the sun went down.

Property is newly renovated but not finished yet. New rooms are nice. Good location on the beach. On premise restaurant was very good. We had two rooms- one had to be changed as the lock didn't work, the other was covered in drywall dust. Very nice property when done.

It’s not a true resort hotel. The staff was kind but they seemed to be short staffed. The shower didn’t have hot water and there was some mold on the walls. No water bottles in the room but bottles of alcohol. They seemed to be open and operating before being truly prepared. It was not worth $600 a night!

The room was great. Comfy bed and pillows. Staff were excellent. The Reno is nice but still needs fine tuning. The beach is beautiful.

Great remodel on this property, staff is very attentive and executive chef’s food is delicious. I’d highly recommend a stay here. One of the best values on the water!
