Unique stay in the Hammock filled with local art

  • *NEWLY RENOVATED* Come hang in the shade in one of the last pieces of 'Old Florida' in the Hammock! Our tree lined neighborhood is perfect for a quiet get away that is close to the beach and walking distance to the river. Two bikes avaibable as well :)

    We are minutes away from many different beach access, and 2 miles from Bings (boat ramp) and Malacompra bike trails. St. Augustine is 25 minutes away, Daytona is 30 minutes, Orlando 1.5 hours away.

    Walking distance to Publix and a handful of restaurants.

    The space
    A studio with a partial wall that creates a secluded bedroom with a queen sized bed. Comfy sectional couch with a 40" smart RokuTV. Full kitchen equipped with basic essentials. Coffee bar with complimentary coffee grounds, tea, sugar and creamer. Large refrigerator and four burner stove with an oven. We have a large walk-in shower with a sunroof, that almost makes you feel like you're showering outside!

    We have art from various local artists that is available to purchase. If you see something, and you love it, you can take it home!
    Other things to note
    *Pets are allowed with a $50 cleaning fee.
    * if you would like to bring your own linens (sheets and blankets for queen bed and towels) I will deduct $20 from your cleaning fee.
    *Stays longer than two weeks will require a weekly cleaning (sheet change, towel swap, vacuum, mop) and will be charged $30 per cleaning.

    *No stays longer than 30 days total. If you stay for 30 days, you will be required to check out after 15 days and then recheck back in.

A magical hideaway!

We just loved our stay in the Hammock. The property was immaculately clean, cozy, and charming, just what we were looking for. The location is perfect: close to several excellent local restaurants and parks and within easy driving distance of St. Augustine and Flagler Beach. Definitely hope to return!

Peaceful

It was great we really enjoyed it. It was so peaceful and calm. We felt like we were at home. We enjoyed the calmness as we enjoyed our 1st anniversary. We will definitely try and stay there again. The water was great.

No snow

We just needed a night stay and decided to try something other then a hotel. Pleasantly surprised by the simple ness of this property. It was a very quiet area and our host was very helpful. Not a picky traveler? I suggest this place!

Great Stay

We had a relaxing 3 day stay. Nice little studio but with plenty of separation for living area, bedroom area and bathroom area. There is a partition wall to separate the sleeping area. The large shower was great and the bed was very comfy. It is in a great area to get outside and take a walk under the canopy of trees. Easy to take the dogs out for a walk too. Our host even had bowls out with fresh water for our dogs.

Home Away From Home

From the moment we arrived we felt very much at home. This quaint little place had everything we needed for comfort. The bed was very comfortable. It was clean and welcoming. Bailey was very accommodating and friendly. We felt right at home and had no issues whatsoever. This was the best experience and we will be returning. Thank you, Bailey.

Very comfortable! Solo with my pup. The stay was entirely too short! I look forward to going back! Art, interest, comfy, amenities are perfect, interesting, cool, helpful owner, neat FL dirt road feel, friendly neighbors, secure locks, close parking, excellent location, super soft sheets and comfy bed. Everything I and my pup needed and wanted. And very affordable. This is a real review from a stay snob.

Perfectly Private

The property was right off A1A on to a dirt road and a quick turn. We are frequent VRBO customers and we find it difficult for some properties to have basic working necessities, not this one. There were enough towels, cool air conditioning, a full kitchen and a great shower with lots of hot water. The host communicated frequently which was a nice touch

Disappointed

Absolutely love the location!! Love how close it was to some great dinning, & the shower was awesome as well. Really put off by how the way the outside of the place looked. If we had have seen the outside before I booked this Vrbo I would have not booked with them. The inside was outdated & definitely NOT clean, it wouldn’t take a lot to make this little place really nice, a deep clean and some updates on furnishings would make a world of difference. Never met the host or really had any correspondence with them much. All in all had a great vacation with family had to stay I had already paid for it.

Great little place!

Quaint. Cozy. A little kitschy. Clean. In other words, a perfect little space for a weekend or a weeklong getaway in a baecah community. It is a bit small, but that's clear in the pictures so it should be a no surprise and was not a problem for us at all. The only negative we experienced, and it may just have been the weekend we were there, was the neighbors diagonally across the street were really loud well after midnight two of the three nights we were there. But to reiterate, the place was nice and the owners were, too. No complaints there at all. I suspect the noise was a fluke because it was Bike Week.... ironically, the very reason we were in town.

Exactly what we were looking for !!!

First off, the neighborhood was so cute! I loved the treeline that covered it. The house itself was perfect. Yes it is small, but the pictures definitely show that very well. Small, but a HUGE shower. This was one of my favorite features. The host was so kind, and communicative! She was very helpful and had tons of knowledge about the area. The host was actually right next door our entire stay, which was my first time experiencing this, but turns out it was great in case of any problems. I will say we tried to use the roku tv! but it kept glitching and shutting off, however this was not a problem since we had a laptop to watch a movie! Next time i will just bring my fire stick! Because i would definitely stay here again:) everything was 10/10 Thank you again for letting us stay !
