The Riu Paradise Island is full of guests from the US with no style, sorry to say that! You can eat and drink the whole day and you can see this on the guests. It‘s unbelievable how they enter the restaurants. In Bikinis und nothing else on. The food at the Buffet is typical american. A lot of greasy stuff. The Theme Restaurants are slightly better but served in such a rush, not very nice. The Hotel complex from outside is horrible. The rooms are okay. What we really loved was the nice and clean beach with sunbeds and umbrellas. But the Jetski‘s spoile the pleasure. Staff is okay but sometimes rude. All in all not my favourite!

An der einen oder anderen Stelle merkt man, dass das Hotel schon etwas älter ist, aber im Großen und Ganzen ist es ein prima Hotel und der Aufenthalt ist sehr erholsam.

Die Lage ist sehr schön, der private Strandabschnitt ist traumhaft. Unser Zimmer war sauber und gut ausgestattet, wir waren zufrieden - wir hatten einen kleinen Balkon mit Blick aufs Meer. Zwar über der Klimaanlage, aber uns hat der "Lärm" nicht gestört. Schade ist, dass man trotz privatem Strand angeredet wird, ob man nicht div. Aktivitäten machen will oder anderes kaufen will. Das könnte man am privaten Strand sicher anders machen. Die Strandschirme sind leider nicht zum knicken, somit ist Schatten teilweise schwierig bei der karibischen Sonne. Das ist natürlich jammern auf hohem Niveau, der Strand und das Meer sind traumhaft schön. Wir sind jeden Morgen um 7 Uhr ins Meer gegangen und hatten alles für uns. Wir waren lediglich beim Buffet essen und mussten nie warten bzw. lang anstehen. Das Buffet ist vielfältig - Pizza, Pasta, Fleisch, Salat aber vor allem die Desserts sollte man probieren! Es ist keine 5 Sterne Küche, aber die sollte man in einem all inkl. Hotel auch nicht erwarten. Wir waren zufrieden und sind jeden Abend satt ins Bett gegangen. Das WLAN war sehr gut, wir hatten im Zimmer auch einen WLAN Router. Alles in allem absolut zu empfehlen. ABER wenn man in die Stadt Nassau will, also Downtown, sollte man ein Taxi nehmen ;) Laufen ist doch etwas weit bei der Hitze :)

The staff was A plus absolutely perfect from the person who greeted you to the person who cleaned up your drinks and food. The food was ok at the buffet, getting reservations to the restaurants horrible. We were there 5 days and only able to get one reservation, it’s not fair to have it blocked out. Rooms definitely need an upgrade, a few outlets didn’t work and some of the curtains to the bedspreads were ripped.

We enjoyed our stay! The staff was super friendly and helpful, the food was really good, and the room was spacious and had a fun mini bar. Compared to other All Inclusives I’ve stayed at outside of the Bahamas, this was the smallest which was reflected in the amenities and entertainment. The beach is a public beach and there were some interesting characters that hung around on some of the days but overall not bad. Pro tip - ask the front desk to help get you dinner reservations or else you won’t be able to make one until your 3rd night. The food at the buffets and restaurants were very good. I definitely felt like we got our monies worth.

The riu palace was the best vacation ive ever taken. Polite helpful staff and plenty of them. Beautiful hotel right on the beach. Everything you need is included and never have to leave the resort. Loved the pools and bars. The food was my favorite. A mind blowing experience def tip top of my favorites list

There are zero snacks in our room, room service only offers cold sandwhiches and a few deserts (no hot food options and no breakfast). We were only given 1 glass in our room our entire stay. The alcholol in our room are seekf serve taps with full bottles of booze (not entirely sanitary). The only food option between 11am-noon are pastries and finger sandwhiches in the coffe shop, that doesn't even open until 11am), the food is terrible, unseasoned, abs tasteless.The resteraunts don't open until 6:30pm, where the resort blocks off any reservations for the first 2 days of check in. The steak is unedibley chewy and our lobster had gone bad. There are nats all over the open containers for garnish in the back bar, and alcolol taps do not apear to be cleaned regularly. The hot tub and sauna have been broken for months (and no one Mentone before we paid full price for spa services). We will never return to a Riu property anywhere in this planet

After three all inclusive last year, we were excited to visit the Bahamas. Overall the property at best is dated and lacks common features you would expect to find in what is billed as a five star resort. One usb charger in our room, busted liquor dispenser and no working fan in the bathroom. Staff overall seemed miserable for our stay and only saw a glimpse of positivity on Sunday. Bartenders routinely substituted drink orders for what was closest to them not what was ordered. Beer choices were poor and the tap system throughout the facility served flat beer Pools were nice and guests were friendly but most shared complaints that we encountered. Overall if you are looking for a budget resort that has limited option this place would be for you. If you have been on an all inclusive before opt for one of the others on the Island

There was a derelict hotel right next to us. The RIU was lovely and well-maintained, but this building right next door was not. Everyone at the RIU was pleasant and kind and so willing to help us. Made our stay even better! The shuttle service to and from the airport was definitely NOT good. I would not recommend them (Nexus)

The property is outdated in terms of bedroom looks. Staff at the pool was very selective as to who they served. My boyfriend and I watched different staff for several days walk past us and ask other people for their drink orders and ignored us. One gentleman by the pool came over and took our glasses other than that we were invisible. Also having more umbrellas for the pool area would be nice. Reservations for dinner were insane to get. We checked in on Saturday could not get a reservation until the Tuesday. So the only option was the buffet. our room wasn’t ready when we got there we were told 20mins it turned in over an hour then got the most basic room ever. We watched people come in after us and immediately got a room. The club was nice to look forward to at night. Maybe it was just that RIU but from 1 to 10 I’ll give a 4.5

Dirtiest room I have ever seen (hair and used condom on bed). Dust is everywhere!! Ocean view was just concrete even though we called and confirmed a week in advance. Room service was terrible. Room service options are just a few things with tiny portions. Called four times in one day and nothing. We were just requesting mini fridge refills for bottled water. Mini refrigerator has free soda, water, and beer. But they never refilled it. Restaurants have odd hours but food is great. A lot of the same meals. There are multiple restaurants but you had to make a reservation with two to three days in advance. So we couldn’t get in to anything other than the buffet. Pool area is great but don’t expect a seat. We didn’t get one in the 5 days we were there. We are frequent travelers and this is the first bad review I’ve ever given. Just a terrible hotel experience from the beginning.

Clean and attentive service in restaurants and hotel. Maid staff didn’t clean room one day and didn’t replace towels twice. Food in restaurants was good. Buffet was ok nothing great. Same food every day. Breakfast buffet was better. Night life needs a upgrade. Entertainers tried hard but nothing spectacular. Wish they just played dance music and make more like a club.

I liked the beach but the property and food were mediocre. My room was never cleaned in a timely manner, few towels were given as well as the robes never being replaced. The safe in my room would not lock.

Resort staff and bartenders are awesome. Pools could be a little more clean, you see sunscreen and lotion blobs floating. Wish they had servers in the beach area as the nearest bar is a bit of a drag. Could not get into the restaurants because they book up fast but buffet was always good, plenty of options.
