Firstly the property was falsly advertised as flat in secured building with an elevator - sadly there is no elevator in the building. This was the main feature I looked for whilst making the booking as I came to work with heavy work kit that I had take up and down stairs daily! Host didn’t have an alternative property and didn’t offer any compensation or refund. Vrbo care customer service is the worst customer service I ever dealt with, the person on the phone kept going in loops and after 3 hours being on the phone with them and literally fighting for the resolution, they offered me a compensation. The flat itself - property had foul smell from the toilet and washing machine which was never left to air out so was full of damp, I had clean several times myself. The flat itself looks more scruffy, with bits of lightly broken furniture. Firstly was seemingly clean but later I discovered, it looked it was never deep cleaned, full of dust and hair everywhere, layers of dust under beds, skirting boards, under sofa, furniture, sofa was covered in stains, debry and hair, kitchen sticky cabinets, dirty pots and pans. The blinds and curtains mouldy. Fortunately the host was responsive and tried to help by sending a cleaner to hoover and mop and maintenance guy to replace the blinds. The location of the flat is great, area felt secure and safe. I wanted to give more stars, but I feel the price of this property haven't reflected the condition I was expecting.
