Fake review. Anne Teerlink thought she was getting the entire Tacit Shadow Resort with full time staff for $54 / night. She tried to hold us hostage to give her a refund or she would leave a nasty review. We don't play those games. We were nice and told her if she cancelled and it re-booked we would refund her. But she never cancelled. There were no issues with her bedding etc. Staff inspected and found NO problems but offered to makeover with clean linens. Bathrooms are marble / granite and constantly cleaned. They look like new at all times. Huge walk in showers, and high end towels are provided for all guests. There are many bathrooms and bedrooms ... not just one as she states.. This is one of the most desirable and booked resorts in all of Utah. Look at our thousands of FIVE STAR reviews on half a dozen platforms ... even by guests staying the same time this guest was here. FYI: The "Exposed Wires" are HDMI cables to hook up the x-box to the TV if guests so desire. If you are an "Anne Teerlink" please don't book with us.

Usually, my responses to this type of “silly” review are short, quick and to the point. However, guests should read about Karl. Karl did NOT read the VERY CLEAR listing that he was booking at a resort. To start with, Tacit Shadow Resort is the best deal in all of Utah, hands down. Karl thought he had booked an entire resort/home with many many bedrooms, a private theater, gourmet kitchen, dining area, coffee / refreshment bar, living room, laundry facility, basketball court, Bocce court, kids play ground, with three (3) onsite staff members, etc. (for his exclusive use) for the incredible deal of ONLY $55 / night and ONLY A $10 / night cleaning fee for the three member staff to clean the ENTIRE RESORT. The bed in the Escape Room is top of the line from COSTCO and only 18 months old. Most guests love the mattress and have taken down the Costco Item number hoping to buy one for themselves. It gets better. The "Cabbage and Egg smell Karl complained about actually was from another guest from Asia cooking Native meals. [Staff and other guests had the privilege of trying this delicacy and found it very tasteful with an enjoyable aroma]. The house is heated by central heat & air conditioning. Karl told staff his room was hot but the bonus room was cold so staff immediately provided him a space heater to make him more comfortable as Karl had difficulty adjusting the heater vents in each room. There is NO exposed wiring. What Karl was seeing were cables to plug in video entertainment equipment such as Xbox or Sony Play Station in the children’s bonus room (attached to this Escape Room). Kids as young as 5 years old have easily identified such cables and plugged in the provided devices for entertainment. Those with any experience can identify such cables as HDMI, RCA, Ethernet, and mini-headphone 1/8” stereo connectors. Tacit Shadow has been open and licensed by Parowan City as a B&B for over 5 years. While we have had to deal with noisy guests, or guests leaving the kitchen dirty or other messes in common areas, we have never had someone think they were booking an ENTIRE $1,500 / night resort EXCLUSIVELY for $55.00 / night while paying 3 staff members collectively $10 for their services AND NOT IMMEDIATELY REALIZING THEIR MISTAKE. We are posting Karl's review and this response on-site, for the entertainment of future guests. (Compiled with input from other guests). If you are a "Karl" this is not a good property (resort) for you to book at.

Baca is confused. She thought she was booking the entire resort. There were many guests occupying the resort as it was sold out on this busy weekend. These included many families with children, couples and singles. Staff is on site 24/7 and enforces the 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. quite time. Staff had significant trouble with Baca and her group who did not follow the rules. All other guests complained and it was a constant battle with Baca and her group to keep them quite and have them clean up after themselves. The dishwasher has a top and bottom drawer and the top drawer was out of order during her stay. But the bottom drawer worked fine. Staff had to constantly clean up after Baca's group which is NOT ACCEPTABLE. All common areas must be kept clean at all times as all guests use it. Baca's group had to be constantly reminded to removed their shoes forcing staff to mop the oak hardwood floor multiple times per day. Baca and her group were all asked not to book at any of our properties again.

Shay was a fantastic guest. The bonus room does have a smaller door and is normally used by children. But any adults use it as this is a very cost effective two bedroom setup. Our listing says the door is small.

Allison was a fantastic guest and her kids are very polite. The queen bed is fully made in the main Escape room. However the five beds (3 twins, 2 fulls) in the bonus room ("Secret Room") are not pre-made but have all the bedding in bins on each bed so they are easy to make up. Guests do have the option of paying extra to have housekeeping make up beds in the bonus room if desired.

Emma was a fantastic guest. This property, called Tacit Shadow Resort, is booked by the room. Guests enjoy exclusive use of their own room (digital lock on door) and can share the common areas such as Kitchen, dining room, den, living room, laundry room, theater room etc. There is staff on property 24/7.

James and his family arrived thinking they had booked the ENTIRE Tacit Shadow Resort Property rather than just the two room suite they had actually booked. They were disappointed to find other guests staying on the property in the other advertised rooms. James and his family were very nice and we wish they had stayed to enjoy this beautiful resort which has hundreds of five star reviews on the various booking sites. It is disappointing to receive a one star review from James when he made the booking mistake. This is a FIVE STAR property with amazing rooms, full guest theater room, professional kitchen, sprawling green grounds, Bocce Court, 1/2 court basketball, individual digital access per room, gated property, and many many other amenities. Tacit Shadow Resort is one of the BEST values in all of Southern Utah, due to its proximity to Brian Head Resort, Zion & Bryce National Parks, Cedar Breaks National Monument and the Parowan Petroglyphs.
