"What kept Keswick Country House from one star is the old style charm of the hotel. The experience itself, however, was disappointing. We happened to be there during a heat wave for this part of the world. We also had a west facing room. I don't fault the hotel for not having A/C. It only needs it ..."

"This was an ideal hotel experience in the Lake District. The rooms were clean and maintained well without losing their charm. The grounds were well-maintained and the paths to the surrounding areas were amazing to help us explore. 10/10 would come back again!"

"Booked this lodge last minute as we wanted to catch the heatwave. Absolute perfect location. We have been to the lakes several times but never bassenthwaite. Brought the paddle boards and literally a 30 seconds walk to the water. So quiet, stunning views, just perfect. Short drive into keswick too. ..."
