Edgewater Escape

Had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was super responsive and made check-in easy. The location was perfect — close to everything we wanted to explore. Definitely would stay here again and highly recommend!

Beautiful getaway

Very nice and spacious home. Description was very accurate. Perfect to accommodate our small friend group with kids. The game room was so cool and the kids loved it! The lights outdoor were perfect for such a dark road, it really helped us navigate and find the house.

A beautiful property

This house is so beautiful. We had a good time. The kitchen is very well stocked. It has everything you need. There are plenty of beds all with bedding. You don’t need to bring any linens.There is so many pillows, blankets, and towels. They also provided cleaning supplies in case you want to do laundry or dishes while you are there. I absolutely love the deck. I think that was my favorite. The sauna and hot tub were awesome. That was the kids favorite. It was snowing when we were there. The kids also loved the play room. They enjoyed having their own space to play away from the adults. We used the fire pit outside for s'mores, that was nice. It was a relaxing winter getaway.

Relaxing Retreat

We spent 2 nights at Edgewater Estate. We enjoyed time in the hot tub, coffee on the front deck, and delicious meals at nearby restaurants & brewery. The property is well stocked with everything we needed. There are plenty of local towns to explore and a wonderful lakeside trail. It was a perfect Fall getaway!

A quick getaway at the lake

Me and a group of friends went to the lake for the weekend. The property was great with plenty of beds in the house and some great amenities outside as well. Highly recommended if you’re looking to get away and spend time near the lake.

Great spot with Fun Amenities

Wish our stay lasted a little longer. We loved the jacuzzi and sauna. Kids (and adults) loved the gameroom. Not a true concern for us, however the fence isn't totally enclosed. And while we were looking forward to grilling some food outside, we noticed the propane tanks were empty. Not a big deal. All in all a great stay. Would go again!!

Christmas Trip

We loved this property. It was extremely nice and was perfect for our Christmas family trip. There are tons of pots and pans to cook the property is well kept. Everything was clean, all the rooms were nice and I loved that there was a high chair and playpen for kids. There was also tons of kids toys. Everything was really perfect and we had a great time.

Great Vacation Property

This house was recently renovated, so it was in excellent condition. The furniture and bedding was also in excellent condition and our family enjoyed the stay. The only improvement would be to have a chair in each bedroom so that you would be able to watch TV on a chair instead of setting on the bed.

Heartfelt getaway

This property is beautiful. The inside of the home is very clean and has very open and bright decor. Positive affirmations and special touches throughout. The game room upstairs was so much fun I haven’t played pool in years. Being able to bring our 3 doggies was so special. There also was a welcoming basket with crackers sweets and popcorn. We couldn’t have been happier with the place and the owners (who were kind to email and check in on how things were going). The flexibility of check in times really helped us so much. Thanks you for making this meaningful trip more special. We would rent again.

5 days with our family!

It’s truly the best VRBO we’ve rented. . . It had plenty of dishes, utensils, pans, small appliances and sharp knives. . . and was equipped with plenty of towels and hooks all over to hang items One drawback is that there are two AC units on the 1st and 3rd floors. . . If you kept the doors to the bedrooms on the second floor open, you would feel some AC but get no privacy! Very nice, clean rental

Lake Wallenpaupak

There were too many negatives for us during our short stay that we would not utilize this property again. The most important being the incorrect description of a “fenced in yard”. The yard had a huge section of fence missing and several inches of space under the fence that small dogs could escape through. We had to move around backyard furniture to keep our three dogs within the yard and that was not the best way to keep them safe either as the home is on a busy road. The night before we left, the hot water heater stopped working which was very inconvenient for our family to not be able to shower. The dishwasher was broken as well. The stools in the kitchen as well as the pool table were wobbly. The stools were not safe to sit on. The freezer had a sheet of ice in it that was leaking onto the kitchen floor when we arrived so we had to break the ice apart ourselves. The blinds in the upstairs bedroom were broken and there were lightbulbs throughout the upstairs that were not working. The railing posts on the front porch were wobbly and could cause a serious injury if someone leaned against them. The jacuzzi had lots of black flecks floating around from the dissolving headrests. We did not use the sauna. Someone from a prior visit left 3 sets of contact lenses lying around. The welcome basket was missing the fire starter and firewood that the owner mentioned in the welcome folder so we had to make a extra trip to the store. On a positive note, it’s close to the lake.

Planning to Stay Again!

Great house! Loved the hot tub and how nice the house was. Only minor let down was that the pool table wasnt full sized and very shaky so it was hard to play like how my friends are used to (we play on a league haha). But we had so much fun and are looking to stay again next year! There was a cute little welcome basket and everything was clean as well. HIGHLY recommend. Couldnt have asked for a better stay!

Great House

A wonderful property for a get-together. Neat, tidy and well laid out. Host provided many big towels for enjoying the hot tub & sauna. We loved the sauna. The hot tub had too much chlorine and was tough on our skin. The kitchen is well out-fitted and the beds are very comfortable. If accessibility is a concern this isn't the right property due to many steep stairs from the driveway. Lots of firewood provided for the fireplace during our cold winter weekend. The third floor game room/work-out room is a real added bonus.
