Our check-in experience was fantastic, all the information was received in time a day before. We entered the property and located our room with 5 mins of entering the property. Everything is super safe and has fire alarm activated. Everything is digitalised. When we entered the room it was nice and clean great views. Peaceful. Until there was a power outrage at 7:00 PM. I was told that power outrage is normal in the area and it will be back in 1 hour. The worst part was everything was controlled digitally so the wifi was not working and main door access stopped working now we can not go out. I did not have any network in my room. So we came outside to whatsaap the host to tell them to open the main exit door. When we came after dinner the power was still out. We tried contacting the host but no network coverage. Later, I some how managed to contact Expedia and explained the situation. I am claustrophobic and I need air circulation in the room. We can not open the windows because there is no net. There are just glass window and since we are in a national park we can not just leave windows wide open like that. It took more an hour to resolve this issue. They asked me if I want to move to new hotel however, we did not want to move as our stuff was all over in the room and it was so dark to pack our stuff. our phone’s battery was dying. They end up refunding my money through Expedia cash. Over all experience was not great. I do understand the host can not do much about it.
