We were very disappointed with our stay and felt the property did not match the price or the listing description. The home was poorly maintained and not very clean, with dirty sheets, limited towels, and low water pressure for most of our showers. The main floor toilet was loose, the master toilet upstairs didn’t flush properly, and the showers drained poorly. Two bedrooms had no blinds, which made it bright and uncomfortable to sleep in and offered little privacy. The pool water level was extremely low, and a loud noise coming from behind the house kept several of us up at night. Small issues like a broken hose, lack of ice, and general upkeep added to the frustration. House was unlocked upon arrival and front door lock needed to be changed. Overall, this felt like a 2-star experience at best and definitely not worth the premium price we paid.

Great house, beautiful pool and outdoor space!! The espresso machine was a huge hit! The property manager was very helpful responding to questions when we arrived. I would recommend more details upon check in or house book with information about the pool, garbage pickup, etc. Thank you for a great stay!

Great pool, plenty of space.

Loved the pool. It was even cleaned once while we were there. Great space for both families to spread out. Some amenities were /- on working right or being clean. Lack of instructions for the house as well. A binder with a few tips on how things work would be a great addition. Cleaning up/fixing some of the appliances (one of the oven knobs was broken/not attached) is needed. One of the door handles was loose and would just pop off. Not all the TVs worked. The basement bathroom faucet did not work and a centipede crawled out of it. We did not need to use that bathroom so it really didn’t affect our stay. Pool table and dart board in the basement were in good shape and we had fun with those. Kids also loved the trampoline outside. Cannot say enough good things about the pool. Three days in a row of 90 degrees and the pool was awesome. Outdoor grill at the pool was also great (natural gas line very handy). Thank you, we would stay again especially if a few fixes/additions were made and it was cleaned just a little better.

Gem in Peoria

This house was the perfect size for us. We had family from all over the US come in to celebrate an 80th birthday of our sibling. The house was wonderful with great art work. The coffee maker was fabulous. The kitchen was perfect for cooking breakfasts and would be for any meal. We used the pool when the weather was decent. The neighbor behind the pool to the south was a wealth of information and let us know if we needed anything, to just call. It felt very safe and clean. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone with a big family. I hope we have the opportunity to use this house again. The owner always responded very quickly to any inquiry and I had the opportunity to meet him. Very nice person to communicate with.

Nice house

House was nice but... the host did not get us the pass code untill after 6pm. (Check in time was 4pm) i had messaged, and tried to called them several times throughout the day of arrival with no response. 6 weeks after my stay, my 3000 security deposit still had not been refunded. After messaging VRBO (also difficult), it was finally refunded. I’m ok with late check in issue, mistakes happen. Having to ask for security deposit back seems suspicious. Its a nice house, but for the money, the hassles with the host left me feeling a little grumpy.

Fun in Peoria!

Our family had a wonderful time gathering at this home in Peoria. We had 7 adults and 2 young children (1 & 2 yrs). The pool was great. Dimitri did stop in and assisted us with removing the pool covering, which was very helpful. My daughter is physically disabled, but can walk with a walker and do some stairs. There were platform steps to get into the front door. There are steps on the deck to get to the pool deck (not platform). One step out the sliding kitchen door to access the very nice deck with comfortable seating options and shade. There is a very nice bedroom with a wide doorway for a wheelchair with two queen beds. The bathroom next to it has a wide door also and space for the wheelchair to get in and close the door. We brought our own shower chair that fit in nicely with the shower. No hose in the shower though. Suggestions: Bring a gate for the basement stairs if you are bringing young children. Not many window coverings. If you need darkness to sleep, bring a sleep mask. Owner may want to put up some window coverings in the bedrooms. None of the coffee makers worked. We purchased one and left it. The grill had to be cleaned. Grill temperature gauges were questionable. Bathtub drain plug on main floor isn't working. Door knob of exterior door near the basement stairs fell off. Windows should be cleaned. Kitchen could use some extra towels and oven mitts. All in all it was very comfortable and spacious for gathering.

Beautiful home, unprepared pool

The home was beautiful and has a nice, open concept. There were plenty of places to sleep for the number of guests we had as well. However, the pool was our biggest challenge. The pool was full of trash and was cloudy upon us arriving. The lights and fountain on the pool never worked while there and the pool required a lot of work while we were there rendering it unable to swim in for several hours due to chemical treatments. For what we paid, we felt that the pool should have been up and running prior to our arrival.

Everything was very nice at the house, but some instructions on all the lights and all the controllers would be nice. A few things that were lacking or missing that you might be inclined to purchase before our next visit. The crockpot did not have a lid/ The can opener does not have a blade in it: we left them by the front door. we were fortunate that we brought our own. The step going down to the basement is very small and several of us tripped on it. You might want to put a red tape just to alert people that it is there. The stool in the bathroom off the kitchen is unlevel and may need to be fixed. The controller in the bedroom next to the kitchen battery is low and needs to be replaced. The closet dooras you come in the front door doesn’t close well. You have to lift up on it to close just needs the hinge adjusted! We were appreciative for a place setting of eight but we had 14 there. You might consider doing a place sitting of at least 12. At least silverware enough for a group with such a beautiful place. I’m sure there’s more than eight people that would be visiting. Thank you for working with us to make our family get together so special! Oh and some blackout curtains in at least one of the bedrooms downstairs would be nice. My husband does not like any lighting. And Could not sleep very well this visit. Also, we were constantly running out of hot water. With four bathrooms and showers running. It did not last very long. Just some suggestions. We appreciate your home

My fiancés birthday retreat

The property was amazing, much more then what pictures show! Cleaning lady could have done a better job , especially in the outside patio/pool area. I gave a 5 star because I know the cleaning lady was in a hurry ,we were checking in while she was cleaning. The host is an amazing guy! I would definitely recommend!
