My family had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage in Novar, Ontario. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cozy and stylish décor—it truly felt like a home away from home. The kitchen was especially stunning and fully equipped, making it a pleasure to cook and gather in.The outdoor surroundings were just as amazing. The landscape was peaceful and beautifully maintained, and the view of the lake was absolutely gorgeous. We spent hours relaxing on the dock, enjoying the serenity and stunning sunsets. While the water was a bit weedy in spots, that’s just nature doing its thing and didn’t take away from the overall experience at all.We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic escape. Thanks for sharing—We’re already looking forward to coming back!

The property was exactly as described and pictured. Our multi-generational family of 9 total had more than ample room to enjoy all the activities. The upstairs games room was a bonus but definitely needs some sort of ventilation...even a ceiling fan. If the property was available next year((we already checked lol) we would have booked it again.

The cottage exceeded our expectations. The kitchen and bathrooms were very upscale. The kitchen had lots of counter space with an island and chairs for three to eat and watch the cooks. The dining room table expanded to fit all ten of us for meals. There were several sitting rooms so we could spread out and visit. The beds were comfy, the whole house was nicely decorated.We often ate our breakfast outside on the deck. The appliances were top notch and the host provided a stocked kitchen with all the dishes, cutlery, pots and pans for everything you wanted to cook. The deck off the kitchen facing the lake had three recliners that was a great place to read in the morning. There was a remote control awning that was really appreciated. My family really enjoyed the pool room that was on the third floor. The wood walls and ceiling were stunning. There was also a half bathroom and a fridge in the room. The lake was shallow and we had to walk through squishy sand to swim. We had a great time in the water and used the canoe, paddle board and kayak. This is a great vacation home for 10 people.Thanks David for sharing your lake house. E Macdonald

The property is beautiful, and very well maintained. It was great to spend the days with the kids playing lacrosse, and playing with the dogs on the very large yard, then off to the lake to cool off. Kitchen was a great size for all guests to eat and easily cook meals. The games room was an amazing place to play cards, pool, or just sit and chat in the evening, or the kids would go up to watch a moving or read to get away from everyone. If they wanted a loud space it was there and if someone wanted a quiet space there were options.What a great way to spend a weekend.

Lovely House to stay in

The house was charming and and we enjoyed the cozy environment. We went it winter and enjoyed it, but I am sure going in summer time would have even been better.

Fantastic Experience

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious, beautiful property! Lovely, well-appointed home and conveniently located between Huntsville and Arrowhead Provincial Park. David was a great host and responded to any minor issues we had upon arrival.

What a gem

The long private driveway lead to a fantastic home. Entering the home, we were greeted with an immaculately kept home. The grounds were huge and well kept. Our dog really enjoyed themselves. The real prize was the bathrooms. Insane. We had a couple of issues that could be chalked up to bad luck. Everyone was very helpful, from the host to neighbours who knew the property will. Pro tips for anyone visiting the property; the taps turn on by pushing it toward the spigot. 😀 Also, the lake is great for swimming. Mostly Sandy bottom, gentle slope to depth. Not much in the way of fish.

Amazing Retreat

David's cottage is even nice than the pictures you see online. It is a spacious and luxurious vacation home situated on a calm and quiet lake just north of Huntsville. The fixtures and finishes in the home are all top notch with great attention to detail throughout. Definitely hoping to book a return trip in the future
