I stayed at Perth Downtown Backpackers Hostel and overall it’s a decent budget option, especially if location and price are your priorities.
The hostel is very conveniently located in downtown Perth, making it easy to get around and explore the city. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, which is great if you’re planning to cook during your stay. The washroom is also surprisingly spacious and kept clean, although there is only one shared washroom/bathroom for about five private rooms in the cottage, which can be a bit limiting.
One thing to be aware of is the noise level. If you’re staying in the front room near the entrance, people often sit, eat, and chat right outside the window, which can make it quite difficult to rest. The main shared dorm area can also be noisy, with guests socialising until around midnight.
Overall, if you’re looking for affordable accommodation in a great location, this place does the job. However, if you’re a light sleeper or prefer a quieter environment, this may not be the best fit.
