Amazing property. Full creditTo the owners who were also very accomodating and professional. A great place to reside along the Murray and suits all ages. The enclosed front yard is simple yet so effective for a holiday home. The backyard and parents retreat are also an amazing addition. Property is super clean and easy to keep that way during your stay. House is fully kitted with all the little things you may forget on a short staycation. Hosts even made sure the fireplace was going on our arrival as it was quite cold outside. We had three children under 5 stay here with us and the grandparents and it suited all of us. Can’t wait to stay again.

Fabulous Stay

We had a lovely stay at Retreat on the Murray with our extended family.It was a fantastic location.We enjoyed the kayaking, bike riding and strolls along the river. It was a very nice house with lots of thoughtful touches.Thanks for an enjoyable few days away.

Girl's weekend

This was our 2nd stay at Murray River Retreat.Everything you need for a relaxing getaway, close to shops & bar's for dining out.Jacqui & Phil are lovely hosts and we highly recomend this property.

Perfect getaway

Excellent communication with owners. Beautiful location on the Murray river, loved kayaking and kids enjoyed crabbing. Nice bike ride up to Pelican's cafe for homemade gelato. Perfect for accessing Pinjarra (Cafe Cherie a must), and Mandurah. House set-up suited all our needs with young kids esp. Great backyard for ball games. Definitely will come again.

Extended weekend away

Fabulous stay for 2 families! Excellent communication from the host from booking through to checking in. Streamline process. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The kayaks and bikes were used by the kids during the stay. The house was very clean and the AC provided relief from the heat. The back and front patio was nice to sit under in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Paradise on the river

We spent a great long weekend here The house is beautifully appointed with everything that you could need Kayaks bikes fishing and crabbing gear it was fabulous to have it all there The children were delighted with the toys and games in the playroom, and the Xmas decorations were a lovely touch. Very comfortable and a fabulous location with river views.

90 Birthday break

My family spend four days in this lovely house. The house was spacious and easy for my mother who has mobility issues to get around. The only issues we had was there were no safety rails on the wall in shower. At the age of 90 she feels very insecure without something to hold onto.It’s a very quiet lovely area to visit. I would highly recommend this house.

Retreat on the Murray - Excellent in Every Way

The property exceeded all our expectations! It was spotlessly clean and so well set up for our multigenerational family. The location is fantastic - a short drive to both Mandurah and Pinjarra, with both towns offering a broad range of family activities and entertainment. The river outlook from the house is truly magical. Our grandchildren loved kayaking on the river too. Jacqui is a fabulous host and we thank her for her attention to detail and prompt and easy communication style. We would love to stay at her property again.

It's a Great Stay!

Our winter getaway was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we booked, the owner maintained excellent communication, ensuring a smooth experience. The cozy wood fires, fantastic entertainment areas, and breathtaking views made our stay truly special. Overall, it was an incredible long weekend.

Fantastic Relaxing place to Stay

Wonderful place to have chill out time with our Family. House is great place for combined family, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything you could need even a washing machine. Great outdoor space for kids - huge back garden and small front play area. Grandsons loved the toy room too. Chill out outside area for parents with seating on front porch and undercover area out back. Only an hour from Perth & Bunbury, 10 minutes from Mandurah and 10 minute walk from a pub, great for Sunday lunch. Hosts were lovely - communications very friendly. Will definitely be booking again.

Heaven by the river

Beautiful home in a lovely riverside setting. Stylish and comfortable with everything you need including many extras like kayaks, bikes, games, toys. Perfect for a family group. We will definitely be back.

Very Enjoyable Family Getaway on the Murray

Beautiful house with great views and a huge secure back yard for the dog to run around. Loved having our own jetty to park the boat. Just a short walk to Jettys pub too. Great spot and great hosts. Would happily return for another stay.

Great stay with extended family

Lovely location and a really well equipped house. Our group ranged in ages from 14 to 76 and we all had a great time. Bikes and kayaks available made for lots of fun. There was plenty of room for everyone and everything was clean and very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location for a family Christmas!

Retreat on the Murray in South Yunderup was the perfect location to spend our Christmas with plenty of room for 2 families (8 adults and 2 kids) and our little dog. Jacqui and Phil are excellent hosts - easy to contact, chocolate and wine on arrival, Christmas tree and lights all ready for us, and even elves on shelf! Great big backyard, shed full of bikes and kayaks, and heaps of board games to play. The private jetty was fantastic, and being able to leave the boat parked up made daily crabbing and river cruising a highlight. Kids loved swimming and fishing off the jetty too. Highly recommend and would love to return someday!

Grwat weekend

Everything was wonderful. We celebrated my husbands 80th birthday. The owner even left a bottle of wine aand some chocolates with a message on the big blackboard out the back . So thoughtfull Grandkids our Sons and spouses, girlfriends and family friends all enjoyed the house a lot.

Making memories at Yunderup

This is a lovely property for a family get together. The large yard, well fenced, and large rear outdoor area were great for a bbq. The owners were prompt to reply to any questions, the property was beautifully clean and very welcoming. We also saw dolphins swim past the jetty the morning we left. Heaven.

Beautiful spot and great property

We spent 3 nights at the property with 2 families, kids ages 13, 13, 11, plus 2 small dogs. The property is modern and well equipped. With a beautiful verandah overlooking the river. There is a queen bed and ensuite in the main house, then 2 smaller bedrooms, and a second queen in the parents retreat out the back. The mattress on the bed in the parents retreat is quite firm so if you prefer a softer mattress, choose an inside bed. The parents retreat also allows a lot of sun in early (light blinds only), and there is a noisy drip drip drip if raining, so if these things bother you, bring an eye mask and ear plugs. We did and it was fine. There is a ceiling fan out there but no aircon yet, although sounds like plans to get it. There are mosquitoes but coils and repellent are provided, but we did move inside when they started to nibble. The back yard is massive and our little dogs loved running around, and we played boules and finska. The front yard is also enclosed which is excellent for dogs or toddlers. We enjoyed a walk into the lime tree cafe for coffee each morning along the river, and Sunday we went to the Jetty bar and grill for lunch and some live music. The massive fire in the main house kept us warm all weekend. We had been looking forward to padding in the kayaks which are provided but the weather was a bit cool. The gated driveway allowed us to store our trailer safely (we bought down our electric scooters and own bikes). Comms with host excellent. Thanks
