I booked 7 months in advance. Three months prior to stay I had a change to my travel plans. I requested cancellation of the first night of my 9 night stay to accommodate my itinerary. I was told it was not possible. I sent them a copy of their own policy that showed it was allowed. Carstin (the property manager, I presume) said that they would discuss the request with “the team” and keep me posted. After 5 weeks of not hearing from him, I requested an update on the cancellation request status. Carstin responded that he had not heard back from “the team”. I resigned myself that this was a shell game but I needed the reservation so decided to eat that first night. I don’t believe there is a team. It’s a company with multiple holiday holdings and based on what I saw during my stay they are only interested in maximizing the profit they get from each rental and have little interest in the quality of a guest’s stay.The unit was minimally clean. The carpeted stairs between floors was full of dirt, crumbs. The walls were in need of fresh paint. There were dents in the wall as if someone had punched it in anger.There are multiple units around a courtyard. I could hear music and TV playing at all times of day and night.The WiFi was unreliable and not available on both my devices. I was on a working holiday and this negatively impacted my time in Peterborough.I was there for 8 nights. There wasn’t a change of towels or sheets offered.Beware!
