Cute house to relax and enjoy!
This was our second stay at Hollie House and we just love it! The fenced in yard for our dogs is awesome. And this time they were able to use the doggie door that was fun for them! I'm sure we will be back again in the future. Thanks for sharing your place.

Really enjoyed our stay at Holly House as we visited The ark and Creatation Museum. The house was well stocked and very clean. The town was a walkable history lesson and very quiet. Enjoyed being one block from the Ohio River and watching the barges go by.

Weekend Review
Communication, cleanliness was great. We love that it is dog friendly. It was the perfect place for our little weekned get away. Lawrenceburg is an adorable little town with some winderful restraunts. It was a little further from Perfect North Slopes then VRBO listed, however that is not the owners fault. The roads coming to and from the rental are quite windy/ narrow roads but is was no problem, just unexpected. We had a nice weekend and I would definately return for our ski trip next year.

Great Stay
We arrived and had a bit of trouble retrieving the key from the key lock. I appears to be sprung, getting the key was a chore as was opening the lock to replace the key upon departure. Also the coffee pot did not work. It turns on but barely drips through and clogs. Everything else was tip top!

Well furnished, and nice location in a quiet, friendly small town , close to the Ohio River, everything we needed. Our dogs loved it to with a fenced in yard and a dog door ! This feature made it easy to enjoy our days at the 2 attractions without worrying about the dogs !

We really enjoyed our stay at the Holly House. It was very cozy and accommodating. We loved the neighborhood and proximity to the river. My family got to experience lightning bugs for the first time and it brought back great memories of my childhood as I grew up around them. Petersburg
The location was good to be able to get to Creation Museum and Ark. Petersburg is a nice quiet town. The furnishings in the house were nice. We did not like the steep steps to get to the dryer in the basement plus the musty smell in the basement was unpleasant. I have to say the bathroom shower was disgusting!! Mold on doors and track. After my son took his first shower he asked me to come look at the shower head. It was black and furry on the bottom half. I had to clean it with bleach product I found under the sink! Needless to say none of us liked showering there!!

Petersburg is always great
When visiting the Creation Museum, this a quiet town just minutes away without getting back into traffic or interstate. The house rental makes it so easy. We had 8 in our party. Nice dinner together and downtime. Kitchen was well equipped for our needs.

Perfect for Creation Museum

Nice little house...
Had everything we needed...a nice stay. A quaint area located a block off the river...fairly quiet. Responsive host and pet-friendly. We recommend if you are coming to the area for The Creation Museum. Bring your vittles, as there are no groceries or restaurants nearby.

It was alright. Had a key lock problem but they fixed quickly. Kitchen was nice. It was fairly centrally located for all our different activities. We had a fun, long weekend here. Very close to the Creation Museum. Maybe bring a few groceries if you’re coming from a long drive. It’s a little bit of a drive to a grocery store. But there is a market within quick walking distance that has several items if you need them. They also serve dinner. Pizza, wings, subs, etc. Appreciated the fenced yard and doggie door. We walked around the little town each night. A little playground and the river are right there. A memorable weekend visiting the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum.

My intent was to find a property close to the activities where my grandchildren were playing softball and we could all stay together. The "Holly House" accomplished that goal. The only negative was the curvy narrow road getting to the property from the interstate. Shop for being able to cook and eat at the property's great kitchen, (grill there too), to prevent excess trips. The property was close to a playground, and the rec room in the garage, will keep bored teens busy.

What a wonderful stay! Loved the property, the owner was so nice! We will definitely be back.
We went to the Cinncinatti Zoo, and Jungle Jims store, 3rd street Market and had pizza and hoagie. It was such a nice time. Everything with the property was so clean and comfortable. Nice weekend away from the city
Came down with some friends who visited last year. We are disc golfers so Idlewild was our main goal and it's right up the road. A Fun Adventure
We stayed four nights. The house is in a quiet little community. It was very comfortable for us and our children. There’s a nice playground a couple of blocks away and the Ohio River is a couple of blocks the other direction. We had everything we needed for a fun stay.

Quaint, Beautiful town!
Our family absolutely loved our stay! The neighborhood was nice, when we want on walks everyone said hello, we were centrally located and very close to the Creation Museum. Annie was incredible to work with and having a nice place to stay that's dog-friendly, has a general store/restaurant close by and an ATM around the corner was fantastic! 10/10 would VRBO here again!

The house is old (“historic”) with fried linoleum, a stained bathtub, holes in the wall, and a basement (where the dryer is) that’s aggressively labeled with “DANGER!” There’s a note saying the futon is broken. The house smells musty, and the laying on the couch was pretty smelly. The toilet barely flushed. The radiators were up against bedding, which I was concerned about from a safety POV. The neighborhood doesn’t seem dangerous, but there was a lot of activity going on throughout the night (just people talking/yelling, car horns, loud trucks, etc.) The third “bedroom” is an unheated coat closet that’s essentially outside. It’s not just apart from the other bedrooms, it’s outside what looks to be the old exterior door. It was 19 degrees out when we arrived, and that room was very very cold. It it also the place where you’d reasonable keep coats, which is very weird and not, IMO accurately described. I would definitely not feel comfortable having a kid sleep in there. The other two bedrooms are normal and fine. The beds are reasonably comfortable with plenty of bedding available. The temperature is super hard to control. When we arrived, a window had been left open so it was pretty chilly. We turned up the radiator in the bedroom a little but it became VERY hot very quickly, to the point no one could sleep. We tried to air out the place, but most of the windows don’t open. I messaged the host a question about checking in a few minutes early. She immediately responded to me saying she’d let me know…and we never heard from her again. So communication was … uneven. (We just checked in at 4:00, which was also fine. Just weird to never hear back.) Although the house is just over a mile from Perfect North on the map, it bears mentioning that it’s actually a 25 minute drive (at least) because the route over the river requires a drive north. Not a terrible commute, but not as close as the listing or a naive look at the map implies, FYI. The game room is a separate building, not requiring entrance to the main house. (This is not obvious in the description or pictures, but good to know- the game room is shared but no one is coming into the house.) The kitchen was well stocked. It’s outdated, with no dishwasher and a pretty old stove, but as far as we could tell everything worked. Plenty of towels and hair care products were provided. Loved the skiing. Probably won’t stay again.

Hi tiffany, I'm sorry you didn't find things perfect. You're right, it is an old house but I keep it clean and updated. We've only had it a few years so investing into new flooring is in the not too distant future. It's a work in progress and we are always trying to improve our guests experience. Maybe read the listings better, we mentioned everything in our listing you've complained about. we appreciate you staying with us and it's fine if you'd rather not return. No hard feelings. Btw, the stove is new and you are mistaken on most of your points. not worth arguing over.

Our family stayed at the Holly House to attend a Girl Scout event at Perfect North Slopes. The house was clean and comfortable. It was really nice to be able to bring our dogs along, who loved the fenced-in yard. We would definitely rent the Holly House for future ski trips to Perfect North. very quiet neighborhood
The neighborhood is one of small town America A place where everybody knows each other and seem to stop by to say hi or check in on friends. The house is very clean and well maintained.. The bed we slept is was comfy. The owner is very sweet and kind.( she left us home made dog treats in the freezer Who does that? ) Anne was there if you needed something but not " obtrusive" She is the epitome of a Vrbo host. Great Get-away!
