I stayed this hotel from April 9-11 for 2 nights and I recommend all travelers to avoid staying this hotel. The most of positive rating comments on Google map were posted by local guides. 1. Air Conditioning not properly functioning. I had book deluxe king size bedroom No. 34. Iturned on air conditioner and waited for 40-45 minutes but room was still extremely hot and uncomfortable. 2. Cigarettes smell inside shower room. it was supposed to be non smoking room, there were cigarette odors inside shower room. The house keeping lady admitted the smell by saying that “Some guests smoke inside the room even non smoking”. 3. Front Desk problem Front Desk staff asked me to wait for another an hour as it would gradually got cooler. I had already waited for 45 minutes after turning on A/C and still room was extremely hot. I also explained that I got asthma and showed inhalers and asked clean room. 5. Afternoon, they upgraded my room to No.30 Junior Suite. Air conditioner fine no cigarette smell. 6. Bathtub plug disorder I used bathtub in the night and found that I couldn’t dehydrate the water even twisting the handle on the bathtub. Plug didn’t lift up. I went down to the Front Desk and asked them to fix it. They fixed it in the 2nd day. 6. Very noisy in the night/rooftop bar There were roof top bar at 4th floor, and all guests off the elevator at 3rd floor then use stairways to roof tops. Many drunken guests busy on/off and shouting. The bar staffs kept moving empty bottles.

Dear Sir,We are sorry to see your 1* rating and review.First, your assumption that reviews on our Google profile are from local guide is not quite exact, as you can see, there are many of our foreign guests who wrote positive reviews, just like on Expedia and other platform.That said, we do regret that you had a bad experience with us and I'd like to provide more details hereunder:Regarding the A/C, well, we allowed you to check-in early at 10:30am instead of the usual 2pm as indicated in our hotel conditions described on Expedia platform through which you booked. This is indeed hot season in Cambodia and our hotel is receiving a lot of sunlight in the morning (being oriented towards the East). So, we couldn't turn on the A/C before your arrival as we were not informed of your expected time of arrival. Then, you immediately started criticising the room, and claimed about this "Smoke" smell that the staff accompanying you in the room never noticed, neither our Room Division manager nor our Operations Manager who both went to check immediately. So, to make you feel happy and in spite of no issue with the original room, we upgraded you to the higher room category and offered a beautiful Junior Suite with direct view on the river. Well.... that was not enough, you went on complaining about the bathtub (that was actually easy to empty, and nothing was wrong with the drain), you were rude with our staff members on several occasions, claiming they couldn't understand you because they are Chinese and cannot speak well English (!? what a weird assumption....) and so on...Our hotel has been in operations for 23 years now and yes, on some exceptional occasions, we have a bad review, mostly about technical issues that unfortunately may happen in any hotel. And just for the readers' understanding, you paid only 70 a night for a Deluxe room (then upgraded to higher category).... so we do not claim to be a 5* Luxury hotel at this price range as anyone may understand.However, you can see from numerous other reviews that most of our guests praise the cleanliness and comfort of our rooms as well as the friendliness of our team members. So, may be we were just the wrong property for you - but considering your high level of expectations, I would highly recommend that you re-assess your accommodation budget to a higher value.... and I also wish good luck to my colleague Hotel Managers who will be the next ones to welcome you.We are sadden that in spite of our efforts you couldn't enjoy your stay with us.Best regards,

Brilliant stay at the Amanjaya Pancam.
This top quality hotel has a prime location on the riverfront, good as a base for exploring the local sights. Our spacious room had high quality furnishings and nice views from the balcony. The formal breakfast in the Sombok restaurant was an excellent start to the day. Friendly professional staff. Thank you

Very nice property. This was my second time staying on this property and was not disappointed. Only hiccup was the included breakfast. I did not take advantage of the “included” breakfast until the last day and found out that the hotel did not show me as breakfast included. When I reported this to the front desk they could not fix it even after I showed them the confirmation. Other than this last minute issue the hotel and staff was very good.

Deluxe room with breakfast. Good sized clean room. King bed, seating area, shower, bath, toilet, vanity and balcony with river views. Bed and pillows on the firm side. Aircon ok. Was on 3rd floor and had a bit of noise coming from the room above - which we discovered was the roof top bar (chairs scraping, banging), wasnt too bad though. Great breakfast - select from menu, made to order. Check in was ok, however advised no breakfast included. Showed staff our reservation and they checked with the manager and added breakfast. Checkout was quick.

Exceptional guest relation.
Wonderful hospitality, and great way of caring the guest, from airport pick up to the rest of the stay. Righteous doing by staff and the guest are always their priority. My special thanks to the front office, specially ms Sophia. All are like and great customer service. Super location too.

Well-located good quality hotel with overpriced roof and ground floor restaurants/bars (but lots of other options within a few steps). Reception staff very helpful, breakfast service haphazard with missing and incorrect items. Would probably stay again, but review other options first.

人員服務服務態度都很和藹可親, 房間也很大間, 全部鋪木質板, 有舒適感, 對外風景不是面河就是面對皇宮, 樓頂還有夜晚空中餐廳,旁邊臨近傳統市場與外國觀光客消費區, 故各國飲食與逛街機能強, 交通旅遊更是方便, 相對旅遊安全性就非常高, 附近景點用散步就可到達, 如河邊風景, 皇宮, 中央市場, 金邊夜市, 各種紀念公園等, 可自助旅遊, 體會民生或夜晚活動都很OK, 如你喜愛在家看電視, 那這點就比較稍微差點, 且因在市區沒有泳池.

Excellent Siem Reap hotel!
I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was large, tastefully decorated and clean. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were lovely. Although this is not the cheapest hotel in the riverside area I think it is good value, because you get a lot for your money. They have a nice, classy rooftop bar here also. I recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

The rooms are absolutely beautiful and have an old “Colonial “ feel. My room had a view of the river and river walk and a beautiful temple. Lastly, the staff are just wonderful and you feel like you are at home.

古き良き・・・の「良き」が失われた感じ。 フロントの対応は、チェックアウトまでとても良かった。 が、部屋の隅々の掃除が今一つ。 部屋のトップライトがない。 代わりにメインの照明になるはずの、部屋の隅のスタンドライトが点灯しなかった。 ウエルカムドリンクを運んでくれた女性がハウスキーパーを呼んでくれて、代わりのものを持ってきます、と言ったはずが、チェックアウトまで代わりのライトは来なかった。 たいしたことではないけれど、ノスタルジックでステキなホテルだけに残念。

Dear Valued guest, We thank you for your review and are sorry that your experience at Amanjaya Pancam Hotel didn't match your expectations. Regarding the dirt across the hotel, as we are doing some renovation, it's true that it's a bit difficult to have all the common areas clean during day time but we are doing our best to contain the nuisance. We informed you of the on-going renovation at time of check-in, but we are indeed sorry for this temporary issue. Regarding the light in the room, we shall have been able to fix it for you in a timely manner, so I do apologize if this wasn't done in due time. The staff was excellent. The hotel was a bit dated but, overall it was an excellent hotel. Debt management with very kind and the breakfast each morning was excellent. This is a great place to stay.

I had some booking problems, and the staff was very helpful and accomodating. All the staff were great. Location is excellent. Despite location being at busy intersection the room was not noisy. I like the khumer decor and all the wood in rooms. Rooms are very spacious, and balcony was fun.

川沿いで景色がよく、また王宮などにも近いなど立地は最高。周辺には多数のレストランもある。この地区は外国人旅行者が多く、治安は悪くない。 スタッフの対応もよく、メニューから選ぶ方式だが朝食もまずまず。 部屋はきれいで広さは十分だが、風呂のお湯がぬるかった。Wi-Fiはつながったりつながらなかったりと、不安定だったのが難点。

WE are sorry for the inconvenience with the WIFI and are looking at solutions to upgrade the quality of this service. Regarding the temperature of the water in the bathtub, I guess it's because it takes a bit time to fill up our huge bathtub, hence the water can get cold fast (Also depend on the temperature of A/C you set in the room).
