Right next door to Banner university hospital and within 10 minutes of 6 other major hospitals.
Hello and thank you very much for viewing this new unit. This space is a house that was originally built in 1940. For the last 9 months (today is May 23, 2023) we have spent a great deal of hours completely restoring this beauty for you to enjoy. Whether you are on vacation, in transition to a new home, visiting family members in the hospital, or on a work trip, this unit can suit your needs. We have replaced every bit of plumbing and electrical and designed this unit to have a uniquely design that gives a modern rustic industrial aesthetic design. I was personally involved in every step of the process. So I know every square inch of this house, even where you can't see. There is more finishing touches to come, but time and money has decided it is time to open this unit up for your enjoyment. The bathroom is 100 sq ft with a stand up shower, freestanding tub, and double vanity. You will not want to leave the bathroom.
Check-in is 3pm at the earliest unless we communcite different. checkout is 10 am unless we communicate different. So when you are requesting an early check-in you need to send a direct message that states the time you are looking for so that I do not overlook this important detail for you.
The living room, kitchen, and office are incorporated into a spacious open great room.
The kitchen has brand new Samsung Bespoke appliances, quartz counter top, and a table custom built by myself. It is stocked with all your basic cooking needs. There are 4 table chairs and 3 counter chairs. There is also a waterfall feature in the dining area.
The office has a spacious desk so that if you are here on business you can comfortably get your work accomplished. The wifi is the fastest in the current market which is verizon 5g, and you are not sharing the wifi with anyone. You can plug directly into the modem if needed.
The living room has very stylish and comfortable leather furniture. There is a fireplace that is being converted to gas and is currently non functional. But that will be changing in the near future. Because of the leather furniture this unit is pets are not allowed on the furniture, and they are not allowed to be left unattended inside. If you need to leave your pet inside while you are gone, it absolutely must be kenneled. I have provided 1 extra large kennel inside for you to use. All pets must be leashed in the common areas and 100% controlled.
Only 2 dogs allowed, No cats unless proof of being declawed. I apologize for any inconvenience, but the furniture is really expensive. I have 3 other units if you desire your feline friend who is not declawed to stay with you.
The bedroom is very spacious with a king bed on the most comfortable mattress ever. There are 4 large wardrobe closets and a large dresser.
There are Bluetooth speakers in the ceiling for you to enjoy and use as well. they are in every room in the house. Just be mindful that there is another unit in the same building and do not play the speakers past 75% volume.
This unit, depending on how you want to travel, can sleep 7 people. Understand it is a 1 bedroom unit though. There is 1 king bed, 1 fold up queen bed that can fit in the office area, one very large comfortable couch, and I have a queen air mattress that can be used. The unit is 900 sq ft or 83.613 sq meters. So the more people you pack in the more cramped it may feel. But it is doable.
We provide high quality linens and towels. If they are not fresh enough for you then just let me know and we will bring new ones to you. We also provide some basic toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Also provided is paper towels, toilet paper, coffee (k-pods) assorted, tea, and hot chocolate.
There is a community laundry room with 2 washers and dryers. The laundry room is shared. So please do not let your stuff sit in the washer or dryer all day. Laundry soap, fabric softener, bleach, and dryer sheets are provided.
So there is no confusion, this is a private unit but it is on a shared completely walled off compound. There are 3 total buildings with 5 different units. There are other animals in the compound that either live there permanently or are visiting. The permanent residing animals include ducks, a tortoise, and my dogs. The ducks and tortoise are in their own enclosures. You may feed the ducks but please contact me so I can tell you where their food is or what you can give them. Please no crackers, bread, or anything similar. Those food items are not good for them. The tortoise just minds his own business. My dogs are completely fenced off and separated from the guest areas. If my dogs are out in the common areas, I also am required to leash them. I usually do not bring them out though.
All visiting dogs must be leashed and 100% controlled at all times while out in the common yard areas. Please report any violations to me immediately.
There is a community gazebo area. This is for everyone on the property to enjoy together and socialize. You may have a small gathering if you want, please limit the number of guests to no more than 8 people. Friends can sleep over, especially after drinking. Please be mindful to not disturb other people on the property. The gazebo also has bluetooth speakers for you to enjoy as well, and a fireplace.
There is an outside shower as well. This shower was designed to be a dog wash area, but upon popular request, it will be eventually enclosed so you can enjoy a shower under the stars and in privacy. But for now, only dogs a semi clothed people can enjoy it :) You may however see my toddler taking a shower there. He qite doesnt understand some things yet. There are towels next to this shower though.
This unit is centrally located in downtown Phoenix. Like most downtown areas all across the world, it brings many different people in different stages of life. You may see a homeless person from time to time rummaging for goods in the alley trash even. For the most part this neighborhood is very quiet with not many problems. The most common thing I have seen happen is that if you leave it out, it will most likely be gone. So do not leave valuables in your vehicle for others to see, and do not leave your car unlocked. In the 12 years I have lived here, no one has ever broken into a vehicle by force on my property. But if it was left unlocked, they will open the door and get what they can.
Your safety and security is paramount to me and my operation. So if someone or something makes you feel unsafe, please contact me immediately and I will personally rectify that situation for you. no one has ever taken me up on that offer since I have been hosting, which has been since 2017.
So please enjoy this space, relax, respect those around you, and have fun. There are no silly rules here, and no chore list for you to accomplish. You are our guest, and we understand guests are our family
- The Compound on 13 st.
You will have full private use of your unit. The exterior of the compound is shared with other guest and me and my family live onsite as well.
There are other individual units on property. Again, this is a walled off compound. Other guests may have animals, and they are required to have them leashed and 100% controlled while in the common areas. There is a social gathering spot under the gazebo for everyone to enjoy. Individual patios are meant for the individual units.
Downtown historic and artsy
I am constantly making changes and improvements on the property. I may have a project or two going on during your visit. I will communicate ahead of time of anything that needs to happen in your space. If I have a project on the outside I will do the best to ensure you are not disturbed. If you are a day sleeper please let me know so I can plan around your schedule. Smoking only allowed outside. no exceptions.
