This was our third time staying at the cabin and it was great as always. Place is very clean and well stocked. It was easy to communicate with Walt when we had some issues with the door lock upon first arriving. Location is fantastic just a few minutes from Dollywood and an easy jump on Parkway to Gatlinburg. Our only disappointment was that the gaming system in the basement appeared to be broken as we couldn’t get it to turn on. Only criticism would be that the towels looked a little dingy; they were clean but looked like they are nearing their lifespan and need replaced. Other than that we love this place and look forward to our next stay.

This property was perfect for our family. Grandparents upstairs, parents and grandchildren downstairs. The game room kept us entertained between site seeing. The beds were so comfortable. We absolutely loved the Chritmas decorations.

The communication with our host was great and the cabin was perfect! It's located in a great location for us, as we don't want to travel on a bunch of curvy mountainous roads getting to and from the cabin. We come to Pigeon Forge every fall and look forward to staying at the Grumpy Grizzly cabin again!

We enjoyed the cabin however a few issues we had. First of all towels were awful, they need to be replaced bad. I had to go buy some for us to use. The bedding also needs to be replaced. Mattress too soft and our backs hurt after a week but I understand some prefer soft mattresses. The worst part was the doorbell! We had friends staying in the neighborhood so the kids would come get my son and ring the doorbell. At home we see a doorbell we ring it, right! Well the owner kept talking to the kids on the ring doorbell fussing to quit ringing it. I don’t understand why the cabin needed a ring doorbell plenty of cameras set up outside to watch the place. So that was kind of annoying that our friends 8 year olds got fussed at through the doorbell. It happened twice. One of the kids wasn’t around when the others were fussed at the first time. I mean if that was my cabin I can see its kids and just ignore it. But honestly I wouldn’t have a ring doorbell at a rental. The numerous cameras was plenty.

The cabin was very nice. We forgot to bring baby gates and they actually had two of them in the closet that we were able to use.We did find an old moldy piece of cheese stuck to the underside of the pull out bed on the main floor.

Relaxing and fun

Right away after walking through the door, we felt relaxed! But if that wasn’t enough, there’s a hot tub for later in the day. Every time we looked around, we saw a new bear to admire. This is our second time staying at this cabin and we just love it.

Nothing Grumpy about the Grumpy Grizzly!

This is one of the nicest properties I have ever stayed in. Everything from the furniture to the bedding to the decor was top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay. The cabin is incredibly clean and in a great location to visit both Dollywood and the National Park.

We loved the cabin! It was extremely clean and well maintained. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas!! You could tell the owners take pride in their cabin and want to provide an excellent stay for their guests. We hope to return soon!

When booking this cabin, I booked according to the reviews and the convenience it was to some local things we enjoy doing when visiting. It exceeded our expectations!! Absolutely beautiful cabin! We even got to see a bear resting in the woods next to us. This cabin will be added to our favorites. Highly recommend!!

Cabin is amazingly clean. So much better than description.If you contact the cabin owner he will respond quickly. The property was beautiful, clean and a great location. You are right off the parkway but you don't feel like it. Cabin has a beautiful view. The owner has put such thoughtful touches in the cabin. This is not a generic cabin. It's so unique. Everywhere you look there is something to see. You don't have to leave this cabin to enjoy your trip. There's so much to do there. We fixed wonderful home cooked meals from a fully stocked kitchen. There is anything you can think of in this cabin. If you need anything open a drawer and this owner has thought of it and left it for you. It truly is like being at home. The bathroom has great lighting to put makeup on. The beds are so comfortable for a great night sleep. The living rooms comfy furniture and cozy fireplace is a perfect place for a nap. The TV's are huge in every room and have wonderful service. The decks are made to relax and decompress. The best part of this cabin is how clean it is. If I'm not in a clean place I don't enjoy myself. There is no way you can come here and not have a good time. The Smoky Mountains are the only place we vacation. We come every year. We will definitely make this our go to home away from home. I want to thank the owner for sharing his cabin with us. This cabin was a huge reason we had a wonderful vacation this year. This cabin gets a perfect score from us all the way across the board.

Wonderful Cabin!

Perfect location and amenities. We have stayed in at least a dozen cabins over the years and this one ranks high on the list for surpassing expectations (and we've stayed in some doozies). What we loved: * Location! Close to everything we wanted to experience (Dig N' Zone, Annakeesta, Old Mill area, The Island, Wonderworks) * Private parking right outside the door * Stocked well and with nice quality items (pans, seasonings, coffee pots and keurigs * Very clean! Loved having blankets to cuddle in at night on the couch * Kids loved the arcade gaming system, chalk board, and the many stuffed bears that were loved (and fought after) and named by my 3 and 7 year olds * Electric fireplace for cozy evenings * Quick responses from Walt- our code had been changed upon check in and he was quick to respond at 9pm to let us in. Also, our 3 year old locked us out of one of the bathrooms and he quickly had someone come to the cabin to unlock the door. What we didn't like: NOTHING! We cannot say enough great things about this cabin and look forward to booking it again! Thank you Walt!
