This was my experience and as a result I will never rent from HHR rental (Home for the Holidays Rental) again!
I arrived after hours and HHR was able to leave the keys in a lock box at their office. They also messaged the directions via WhatsApp. The problem started when I given the wrong address. Then I was given an address that wasn't showing up using Google maps. It had been an over 12 hr day and we were tired of driving around. When we were in route to a hotel an HHR staff offered to meet us but we were too far from the Area to turn around and again we were exhausted.
The next day we went back to HHR and met with a staff member who also couldn't pull up directions via Google map and ultimately had to walk us to the apartment.
The next problem was there was no elevator and we had a lot of large luggage that we had haul up 5 flights of stairs. The halls were dark and long and there was no way we would have been able to see the lock or find the correct key. There was a light switch someone else showed us. We were ready to leave at that point.
The apartment looked NOTHING like the listing! It was clean but old and dated. There were no paper towels or napkins and only one roll of toilet paper. I've stayed in numerous VRBO's and this has never been the case.
After one day of climbing the numerous flights of stairs and having absolutely no where to park we decided to leave.
I also wasn't reimbursed one day for being given the wrong address.
