This property was a serious fail in the safe and secure department during our four-day rental. Not only would the front door not lock, it would not latch shut. This required a dining room chair prop to prevent it from swinging open. The improvisation was a particular non-comforting issue during night sleeping hours and ventures out. Exasperating the above was the non-response of the Evolve Property Manager, Becky. A call to her to report the issue went unanswered, our voicemail never returned. Eventually reached a “secondary number,” spoke to a Danielle. She shared, “Yeah, they had issues with the door last week.” The problem was not resolved until 6:00 p.m. on our third day of the four-day rental. Knowingly renting a property that is not securable places the renter at-risk. VBRO, Evolve Property Management, the property owner and their respective insurance underwriters are assuming potentially significant liability exposure in the event of an incident. At the daily rate, expected more. Aggravation and the indifferent cavalier attitude not worth the price, hence would not recommend or entertain a return booking.
p.s. Similar to VBRO, Evolve Property Management invited a post-stay review, we obliged. Their failure to follow-up was equally disappointing.
