Die Unterkunft entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen. Die Fotos täuschten. Wir hatten Bungalow Nr 2. Nicht empfehlenswert. Kein Raum Services. Für die Reinigung einer Nacht mussten wir 40 Belize Dollar bezahlen.

We appreciate all reviews as it helps us better serve all returning and future guests. Despite the guests' claims, they did indeed get the room they booked. Each cabana and room has a unique name. The guests decided to say, however, wanted to spend one night in one of our beachfront units, they were informed if they move to another room they will have to pay the cleaning fee per our cleaning fee policy.

The location is incredible if you're looking to stay as close to the beach as possible. The staff are all incredibly helpful and friendly. It is quite loud with the bar music next door, so if you're looking for peace and quiet this probably isn't your spot. The location is very central and walkable. The only thing that was off putting about our room was that there was a flying ant infestation in the wall of the bathroom. They ended up coming out after dark around 9pm and quickly filled the bathroom, but they were back in the wall in the morning. Shelley was on it right away in the morning with insecticide but its unlikely she would've known it was in the wall because there was no sign of it during the day.

Julia’s Cabanas is a great place on the beach in Placencia. The AC is cold and necessary in May. The bed/sheets/pillows are really good. Shelly is the best. She has great communication and cares about her guests. She is attentive and happy to be of service. She is such an asset to the property.

The value in this property is in the location and beach access. Very close to many delicious dining options and well situated along the boardwalk. 10 minute walk to everything including placencia pier and beach club on either end. Unfortunately, the beach was soiled with seaweed/kelp and garbage (I know this is not under the property’s control and I don’t know if it was a bad time for this?). We walked to Placencia pier and swam there but be careful as there are lots of stinging jellyfish on that side. Host was attentive and friendly. As stated, can get loud with the bar next door- we brought ear plugs and were fine. I was, however, disappointed that Expedia stated laundry was included because when I asked I was told it would cost 15bzd per load. So it is definitely not included as it states. Would not recommend getting a cabana if it’s not beach front. Our friends had to leave due to the heat because there was no breeze and the A/C couldn’t keep up. Cabana’s themselves are cute, but fairly run down and dingy. We had issues with bugs (big red ants and cockroaches) so had difficulties keeping food or garbage in the cabana. We kept the lights on at night to stop them from emerging. Amenities were weird as there was a coffee machine but no coffee or sugar. Very odd and unclear front desk hours- we went to talk to them about something at 8am and the building was empty and shut down.. All in all, a good stay if you’re looking for somewhere centrally located, but extremely basic.

I loved my stay at Julia's Cabinas. Shelly and her staff were fantastic. The property outside is kept very tidy. The location of beachfront is wonderful. I stayed in Cabina 5 which has a view of the ocean from the deck where I enjoyed daily laying in my hammock enjoying the beautiful view. The location is basically centre in the village so you are walkable to a grocery store, and a ton of restaurants and shopping. I travelled solo and stayed for 13 nights and never once did I feel unsafe. My unit had a nice little kitchen with a fridge and micowave. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure and warmth was fantastic. The property worked for me but might not work for everyone. It's located next to one of the most popular bars in Placentia (Barefoot bar), so noise from the music does occur in the later evening. I just put ear plugs in and was fine. During the day, the music is very low so it isn't an issue and it all goes quiet at midnight. If you are looking for fancy, this is not your spot, but if you are looking for a 3 star, local, relaxed place where a friendly face will always greet you, then Julia's is the perfect spot. If you are flying in, it costs $20 BZ to get a cab ride from the airport. You can find amazing breakfast, lunch and supper prices...be sure to check out the small mom & pop places on the main road where you can get tacos for or an egg burrito from a local woman selling from a plastic container down by the bus stop. I loved Belize!!!

Beautiful sea views, a great beach for swimming, hammocks, beach recliners, a comfortable bed, small refrigerator, coffee maker, air conditioning, wifi and easy walking to food, grocery and bars. Plenty of parking nearby. This is not a four star resort. It's authentic! These are older, rustic, solid beach cabanas next to the sea. Occasionally the power is out and maybe even the water for a short time. The furnishings are very basic. The porch is terrific with chairs, a hammock and views. It is gated and feels very safe and neighborly. Also the manager is cheery, organized and very helpful. There is a fun, party bar and restaurant RIGHT next door that plays music until about midnight. The music is island vibe and fun, but can be quite loud at times. One cabin is right on the beach and backs up to the bar. Go out and join the party. If you really need to rest before midnight, bring noise cancelling headphones, not just earplugs, OR don't book that particular unit. We loved our stay.

Everything about this property was excellent. It is tucked away on the Placencia Sidewalk, with easy access to the beach, public parking, police station, grocery store, restaurants, and other tourist attractions. When I researched the property, I could not determine if it was actually *on* the beach, and it is. The back gate opens up directly to the beach. It is just a few steps away from any cabins. The music from the bar next door was not an issue at all for us. They were playing music, but not loudly enough to cause any upset or sleep issues. It was just loud enough to put a pleasant vibe in the air. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Beautiful location that makes you feel like you are part of Belize. Right on the beach and walkway. So many options for food, activities and shopping. This rustic gem is perfect for families, singles and couples. Keep in mind it is rustic. Clean, comfortable and provides your with more than what you need- fridge, microwave, AC, wifi. I truly love this place. Miss. Shelly was so welcoming and accommodating. It felt like home.

Juila's is situated right in the middle of the activities on the walk and is right on the beach. It is a very rustic property but is now needing many repairs. If there was anything we needed, it was swiftly dealt with. The grounds were immaculate. It's location next to a bar with music could be a hindrance for some but we loved it. Lots of varity of food options and shopping.

Our cabana was right on the beach. (#6 ?) away from the bar) These are rustic & sweet. The bar can be noisy. I knew this in advance. I always travel with ear plugs. AC worked. Shelley, the manager, was helpful and friendly. The parking lot is located across from the Police Station on the Placencia Road, and the cabanas are a short walk down the cement sidewalk. Lots of restaurants and bars are within walking distance.

My friend and I, being budget-conscious, wanted the biggest bang for our buck and we found it at Julia's Cabanas. The location is ~100 feet from the Caribbean with private cabanas within a gated/security-patrolled property. The property is ~ 30 feet from the famous Placencia sidewalk. Prior to our trip, Miss Shelly, the property manager, helped us coordinate daily excursions and communicated promptly and thoroughly. Upon arrival, she built upon her reputation by recommending additional local activities and businesses, which were all met with success. Miss Shelly, has a degree of sophistication, grace, and a sense of genuine care for others that meets and exceeds any 5-star hotel concierge. Enjoy your trip!

The people are super nice everywhere in Belize, so no exception here, BUT if you are willing to "camp out" with no hot water and really NO WATER except for a dribble then you are good. Should be considered a "hostile" because it's tiny with no TV or amenities to name and it was filthy. It is time foor Belize to actually DO the inspections instead of just signing off on something for the money! Also, the music next door played well into the night, but we didn't mind that. They did warn us though. Very nice people!!

I pondered for some time to consider how to review this property. On one hand the on-site managers are amazing. Beautiful people, super helpful and friendly. The cabanas were pretty well kept considering the difficulty of maintaining properties on a beach. A few areas were showing some age and in need of a fresh coat of paint. But overall I'd consider the place well maintained. The big down-side was in the area of comfort. We stayed in cabana #3 which likely had the smallest kitchenette (if you could even call it that). Also had an extra single bed which left no room inside for seating. When in our room our choices were to sit on hard wood chairs on the front deck or sit on a bed. This is the room to have if you are not planning to spend hardly any time at the room. The beds were very firm and not our idea of comfortable. So nights were pretty restless. Shelly did find us some better pillows which helped and we were very appreciative. And the location, just awesome. Right between the beach and the Placencia sidewalk with an abundance of shops and restaurants nearby. To provide a more detailed rating for various aspects on our stay, here it is: Location - 5 stars Hosts - 5 Condition - 4 (for a rustic beach cabana) Wifi - 4 TV/entertainment - 0 Beach access - 5 Shopping - 5 Activities - 5 Comfort - 1 1/2 (hard bed, hard seats) Value - 4 Noise - 2 (bar next door was really loud on weekends) Climate control - 2 (AC unit under-sized and noisy)

I am sorry that you just checked out like that due to the noise of the bar next door, however, please do know that we have no control over their loud music, and it's not the hotel itself at fault. It has also been stated on the website that we are next to the bar that plays its music until midnight. I am sorry that you missed that part so you would have known before you booked. Even though you booked the ground floor room #2 and still hear it as loud then indeed they were blasting their music past their limitssorry that you had to leave.Thanks

Excellent location and decent basic room (Room 3) but lack of natural ventilation (transparent plastic films on windows blocking the breeze). Both the AC and the fan are loud, like VERY loud. And the AC is pretty ineffective due to all the air leaking everywhere. Overall we had a nice stay, I just feel the price is high for that level of comfort.
