Overall, the stay at this property was great - relaxing and peaceful location overlooking the lake plus a hot tub for relaxing under the stars! The host was super responsive and helpful with questions. My only complaint is that there were some items/areas of the house that could have used more attention... The dining room chairs and couches had several stains and some of the silverware was still dirty. The fireplace wasn't working and the reclining part of the couch seemed pretty wobbly. These weren't issues that made us disappointed with our stay, but would have been nice to have these details addressed before we stayed. We really did have a relaxing and enjoyable weekend and appreciated the space to enjoy some time away!

We never figured out how to get the fire places working, followed the directions, no luck, someone’s dirty underwear in the bench in the bedroom. In the bright side the hot tub was great, it was a nice space and we had a good time, the lake was pretty with the ducks!

Beautiful house.
My husband and I stayed here in the winter for a weekend away. The house was great. Very comfortable and accommodating and very clean. The owners were also very friendly and great to work with. The only thing that was disappointing was the hot tub. It was one of the reasons we chose this property and I was so disappointed at the cleanliness of it. It was very cloudy and had almost a greenish cast. The hot tub walls had scum and black build up. The back jets only worked on the low setting. One of the jets was floating in the hot tub and the lift for the cover was broken which made it very difficult to get on and off. We were pretty bummed. We sat in it for about 10 minutes and we’re so grossed out we got out. I truly loved the property and the area. That was the only my downfall.

Before I go into details, I just wanna say that the host was great when we had an issue or a concern or a question we sent a note and he responded quickly. Now about the property, to get to the house, you have to go down a set of steep wooden stairs that in the winter can get icy and be slippery at times. Also, the water at the property seems to be well watered or hard water and has a lot of iron in it which is why we only got to use the hot tub once and made it incredibly hard to do a lot of cooking. The cookware in the property could use some updating. It was nice to have pots and pans but they were a little bit out of date and could’ve used some upgrades. The nice living room couch, which has the option to put out the footrest using electronic switches does not work so it was not as comfortable as we had hoped. Also beware the next-door neighbor has a wandering cat and a dog that likes to bark at all hours of the morning and also in the evening. during our day, we also noticed that somebody must’ve had a cat at the property because when we tried to vacuum to clean the house, it was clogged, and when we cleaned it out, it was full of all kinds of cat nonsense and the bunkhouse where the children stayed smelled very much like cat . The Wi-Fi is also not 5G so it was difficult for us to work from home to actually be able to stay on the Internet when you have more than one person online and also work the smart television. The kayaking was great. For the money not again.

Nice location and beautiful view, but...
This is a really nice lake front cottage. First the good things. The kitchen is very well stocked and worked well for us. The bedroom and bathrooms are good. We loved the fire place. The living are was a bit cramped for 4 people but it worked. Now the bad. The house needs a deep clean. The hot tub was full of sand, the seats were slimy and the water level was 6 to 8 inches down. The out door fire pit did not operate at all. The third detached bedroom was creepy.

Thank you for choosing to stay at our property. Unfortunately we were not made aware that you had any concerns... we wish we could have had the opportunity to address your concerns. For our future guests: the hot tub is cleaned between each stay and includes vacuuming, photos of chemicals, and water levels, including a refill as needed. The water level is expected to be about 6 inches under the top of the hot tub to maintain filter flow. The outdoor firepit is functional, we send operating instructions in our welcome email and are always happy to provide assistance with anything as needed. Open communication with our guests is important to us and we are always happy to answer questions or resolve any concerns.

What a Spectacular View!!!
Overall a wonderful weekend stay! Mom needs assistance walking and the kind neighbors allowed us to pull in closer to the home, so she could easily get inside! It was rainy but oh so beautiful! The hot tub was wonderful for the 20 minutes we were in it! We loved the deck and we used the three blankets left by the slider! Even opened the wine left for us! The host was very quick with answers to our questions. We enjoyed water color painting at the large dining room table and reading on the deck with blankets.

A Breath of Fresh Air
Overall, we had an amazing girls weekend! The neighbors were so friendly. The outdoor patio is awesome! If you have younger kids that you like to keep an eye on you would need to find a different arrangement then the bunk house, but for our girls weekend it was great! The hosts were easy to work with and answered any of our messages in a very timely manner.

Nice place. Private separate bunk room my teenager enjoyed. The back deck is great. There’s a hot tub, swinging chairs, a gas fireplace, and a beautiful view. Very quiet lake the week we were there. Keep in mind there are a lot of steps from the driveway to get down to the house. The pontoon rental was nice. Owner was very helpful and responsive to messages.

Excellent Lake House
The property was great, and had everything we expected / you could need to relax for a week at the lake. The pontoon was really nice, my family really enjoyed it, along with the deck, hot tub, and outdoor gas fireplace. We've rented cottages on lakes for over 35 years in my family, and really felt like the owner ran a professional rental and provided prompt communication to any questions we had. Best of all, the place is dog friendly, which can be hard to find. Monty (our Australian Silky Terrier) gives it 5 paws 🐾, he LOVED swimming all week. We look forward to coming back next year!

This was absolutely amazing!!! Definitely worth the stay. Place was very spacious and had pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen. Kayaks were well worth it. The boat rental was super affordable and put the cherry on top!! All our guests loved it all. Some of them actually said they were putting this property on their favorites list. We got to meet the neighbor and he happened to be really cool. He actually let us park some of of our cars next door. Thank you Steve 😊. We will do it again. Thanks again!!

Beautiful location but amenities are lacking
Beautiful location right on the lake. Unfortunately many of the amenities advertised do not work properly such as outdoor and indoor fireplaces and cable/internet. We also found the kitchen table cushions to be dirty. My concerns were brought to the attention of the owner& they said they were unaware. However looking back I do see previous reviews mentioning my same concerns that were not ever addressed. No one is ever doing a walk through of the property inside and out prior to guests staying here. We hope they fix the broken hot tub cover and the cracked pieces of wood holding the outdoor swings.

Both indoor and outdoor fireplaces are in working order, in the case that you were having difficulty starting them we would have happily assisted you! We do routine maintenance monthly and our home is also thoroughly cleaned between each guest, but if a guest notices something needs to be brought to our attention we always appreciate when our guests send us a quick message during their stay to let us know so we can address it right away! Perfect girls trip getaway
This was a great lakefront property. Nicely decorated and updated inside including new appliances! Gas fireplace was a wonderful cozy feature. Outdoor gas fireplace was amazing as well. Hot tub was clean and overlooked the lake. Hosts responded immediately when I made a mistake on the door lock keypad and locked us out; the problem was resolved in minutes. This was a great place to relax and unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

We had a wonderful time at the property! We had unseasonably beautiful fall weather and were able to enjoy the huge lake on the provided kayaks. The beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was clean. The egg chairs on the deck are perfection. The gas fire table is fantastic. The location is out of the way, so if you enjoy that, this place is for you. Also, loved the bottle of wine that greeted us on arrival! Minor things: kitchen chair upholstery was very dirty. This didn’t match the rest of the house at all. The interior of the house was very clean. Leaves outside were horrible. It is fall, so leaves are/were expected. However, the leaves were up to 12” deep in areas of the yard. So, they hadn’t been done recently, if at all this season. Leaves covered the walkways, entire yard area, deck, and the steep steps down to the house (also good to know if you have mobility issues). The amount of leaves made getting down the sloped yard to the water and dock (also covered) a bit slippery and messy. A book with instructions on how to use features of the house and expectations. would be great. I’ve never been to a rental without a book of basics. The wifi and internet in general is quite spotty. If you have work to do while vacationing, this might be handy info. However, despite these VERY minor things, I would absolutely come back to this property. During the summer, a pontoon on Pine Lake would be phenomenal. The location, while out of the way, still felt within reasonable distance to Lake Michigan, Grand Rapids, etc. Lastly, Pine Lake Grocery has freakishly great pizza and is in very easy walking distance. Definitely recommend this property.

We loved it!!
Cozy gathering areas both inside and out. We were lucky to have great weather for late October. We took advantage of the hot tub which is awesome and we rented their pontoon boat for a day and had a great time on the lake which is gorgeous. The house is amazing and very nicely laid out and decorated. The beds were super comfortable The location is perfect and there’s a cute market at the end of the street. Andrew was a great host, easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Loved it!

Prefect lake getaway
Perfect spot on a nice lake.. beach access is nice for the kids to play in the sand. The pontoon was wonderful to cruise around the peaceful lake, great fishing.. we had a very busy, wonderful stay. Would recommend and return! Also- the bunk house is a nice addition to give older kids their space and peace for the adults!
