Our family (adult children & grandparents) really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable & there was plenty of space for everyone. We did quite a bit of cooking & the kitchen was well stocked, with the exception of a few spice containers that were empty, but it wasn't a big deal. We were also happy at the generous amount of bath & hot tub towels provided. One of our favorite aspects of this property was the movie theatre set up. A great place to relax in the evening & enjoy a movie together, enough comfortable seating for all 6 of us & some great movie snacks. We also loved that this property was pet friendly & the dog dishes were a nice touch. Check in was a breeze & the owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. The area was quiet & all in all just a great place to get away with family. It's worth mentioning that if you have elderly guests with you, there are A LOT of stairs. We put the grandparents on the main floor so it wasn't really an issue for us, but something to keep in mind. We loved our stay at the Mountain View Chalet!

We had a wonderful week at the Mountain View Chalet. We enjoyed the hot tub & roasting marshmallows by the fire pit. The home has a well equipped kitchen, all types of pots & pans & plenty of towels & hot water for all to take a nice shower after a day at one of the lake beaches. All had a great time.

Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful mountain home. The home was clean and very well stocked - the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. When we arrived, each bedroom had towel animals on each bed and the master had white robes and slippers!! It also includes all the linens, bath towels, hot tub towels, soap and shampoo!! The beds were very comfortable. Our favorites were the 8 person hot tub, screened porch, and amazing theater room (with movie candy supplied)! There are several lakes in this community (even one with inflatables). It was the beginning of August, but the weather was perfect (mid 70’s and no humidity). We saw lots of deer at the house! Had the best time - would definite recommend!!

Scenic home

Girls Trip

Great property for our girls trip! We enjoyed the hot tub and karoake on the big projector in the game room. Everything was comfortable and the host is very helpful in providing many amenities you tend to forget! Highly recommend!

Great family getaway

Well stocked with amenities, clean, comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood. Lots of wildlife (we saw squirrels, chipmunks, deer all on the property from the hot tub). Had a blast with our family and our friends. Would absolutely recommend this place and this host again!!!

Awesome getaway

My family and I stayed at this property for 5 nights. We had an awesome time “reconnecting”. Plenty of space for everyone to be together and places for solitude as well. We enjoyed the screened porch the most probably. Saw a bear, lots of deer and some chipmunks. The game room/tv area was stocked with snacks which the kids loved. Would definitely stay there again.

Short ride to Kalahari Waterpark

The perfect place to stay.

Let's start by saying what a beautiful home and great experience we had. The owner was very communicative and made things so easy for us. We had 10 people and there was plenty of room for everybody. This property has everything you need Just show up and relax and enjoy. It is located close to everything The fireplace is a beautiful ambiance. The hot tub while it was snowing such a beautiful experience. Let's just say if you don't book this place You are definitely missing out 100% going back there again year after year.

Family fun time

Wow! What a cozy getaway. We stayed at this property for two days and everything was perfect. The communication with the host: 5 plus stars, cleanliness 5 stars, games and activities 5 stars. I would definitely recommend the property. My only 4 star is location as the property is a little far from the ski mountains. (25 minutes away) other than that, no complaints.

Perfect Poconos Getaway

Our experience can essentially be summed up in the first thing that I said when we walked into the Mountain View Chalet, "We need to stay another day!" This house is exactly what we had in mind when we were planning a getaway to the mountains. It truly has the best of both worlds with a cozy, extremely comfortable mountain vibe for when you want to relax in front of the fireplace, firepit or hot tub, and then the amazing theater and game room for when you want to have a movie night! The house was extremely clean, perfectly designed, with every amenity that you could want. The host was very responsive and able to help us whenever we had a question. We will 100% be returning to the Mountain View Chalet!
