Winter Court is a six-bedroom, three-story lodge tucked into the quiet woodlands of Long Pond, with 3,800 square feet of room to spread out, and walls of windows that pull the forest into nearly every room.

The main level is organized around the living room, where plush sofas circle a fireplace and natural textures keep the space feeling lived-in rather than styled. It opens straight into the kitchen, which is set up for the way groups actually cook: someone perched at the island on a barstool, someone else working the stove, coffee going long before the last person is awake. The dining table seats the whole group for pancake breakfasts and the kind of dinners nobody's in a hurry to end. Off the main space, a sunroom wrapped in glass makes a good place to disappear with a book while the rest of the house gets loud.

Downstairs is where the night runs long.
