« I embrace historic charm and quirkiness; what I don’t like are doors to bathrooms and bedrooms that don’t shut properly and lack of cleaning.
The bedroom was described as deluxe double but there is nothing deluxe about it. The carpet was stained and had not been vacuumed recently as evidenced by dead flies and numerous bits. The door to the bedroom could not be properly closed and there was no lock. I’m not sure why this couldn’t be rectified as the door frames seemed relatively new and...

« This is such a delightful country pub. We loved everything about it - the location in a pretty and peaceful village, the decor, the ambiance, the quality of the food, our comfortable and cosy room and the friendly and welcoming staff.
It would rate as one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed.
We were in the smallest bedroom, which was quite compact but decorated so beautifully and had everything we needed. Really comfortable bed and quality bedding. Compact bathroom but lovely hot shower...

We were looking for a scenic place to rest up after our overnight flight to the UK from the USA and found this amazing place.
Located in a beautiful, rural area with plenty to see and experience nearby. The property is stunning and very well-maintained.
John and Elizabeth were amazing hosts. Warm, genuinely friendly, accommodating, and fascinating in their own life experiences. It's not every day that you get to meet an Olympic medalist!

« The property was homely & felt comfortable as if you were visiting someone. Close proximity to Fareford if you need accommodation for the airshow. Breakfast is in the family dining room & is cereals, juice & toast with jam & tea/coffee. Patrick is very flexable with timing for arrivals & breakfast.
