Sehr schöne Apartments, schlechtes Wlan
Wir hatten ein schönes, modernes, ruhiges und grosses Apartment mit einem gemütlichen Balkon. Uns irritierte, dass sich der Eingang zu unserem Apartment Nr. 2 in der Tiefgarage befand. Dies machte sich auch beim Wlan bemerkbar. Sehr schlechter Empfang im Apartment. Auf Nachfrage sagte man uns, dass wir an den Küchentisch sitzen sollen, da dort der Empfang am besten sei oder vor die Rezeption kommen, um guten Empfang zu haben. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral mitten in Port Douglas. Rund um das Hotel hat es zahlreiche Geschäfte und Restaurants. Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass die Rezeption am Wochenende um 17:00 Uhr schliesst. Auf hotels.com steht 18:00 Uhr.

Gemütliches Apartment in zentraler Lage
Zimmer waren sehr sauber und groß und sind gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir waren im 1. Stock, haben aber gesehen dass es auch Zimmer neben der Tiefgarage gibt. Würde auf Lage des Zimmers achten. Gastgeber waren supernett und hilfsbereit. Ehrliche tipps zu Ausflügen. Lage ist super - zentral alles in Laufnähe. Supermarkt um die Ecke, viele Restaurants in der Straße. Lunch und Dinner im Restaurant gegenüber sehr gut!

Perfect for couples who don’t need a lot of fancy amenities. Great location, quiet, clean. Grocery store nearly next door, so we ate in for breakfast and lunch and had many restaurants in walking distance.

Nice tidy unit, quiet, You have to be able (our case) to climb stairs with suitcase. It is a bonus to have inside parking, though maneuvering can be hard. Gary and Jo were great, welcoming and a source of information.

This property is in a tremendous location. The supermarket is just around the corner, there are a large range of eateries very close by, and it is an easy walk to the wharf. I honestly cannot say enough about the hosts. They were extremely pleasant to deal with, well-informed, efficient and helpful. Their recommendations were always spot on. A fantastic stay!

Excellent location right in the middle of pubs, restaurants, shops, and an easy walk to the beach or the marina for tours but still remarkably quiet inside. Spacious self-contained apartment with good sized fridge but limited cooking facilities other than the poolside BBQ (not a problem for us as we were out each night eating at nearby venues).

Perfect location . Couples stay
Perfect location right in the Main Street but very quiet. The apartment was lovely and comfortable with all amenities for relaxing or self catering . Pool was perfect temperature and although small was plenty big enough for accomodation of only 16 units Jo and Gary were excellent and helpful and airport transfers were very good. Highly recommend staying here as a couple .

Great stay with Jo and Gary. Macrossan House was brilliantly located in the middle of PD We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go.

great location however strange thing is that Port Douglas does not cater for tourists on public holidays as not much was open even though lots of people are here on holidays. Hard to find a restaurant open. Tourism Queensland does not mention that in their promotions.

Hi Brad,Unfortunately we have no control over the government or what hours the shops, bars etc open. You arrived on Good Friday, a public holiday therefor the whole country has restricted opening hours, bars, supermarkets etc are not allowed to open. We were open and here to meet you.Jo and Gary

We had a one bedroom unit centrally located amongst the restaurants, pubs and shops in Macrossan Street yet we heard no outside noise. It was very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. The property managers were very kind and helpful before and during our stay.

Macrossan House is a great small apartment complex in the main street of Port Douglas. As it is centrally located there are many restaurants and shopping options in short walking distance of the apartment.

This was an ideal place to spend a week. Very friendly people and great location. Walking distance to everything that we wanted - restaurants, shopping and the beach. Macrossan House is very goos and I would certainly stay there in the future.

Everything You Need
Great property centrally located in the main street. Everything was clean and comfortable. Slightly older style but good value for the money. Friendly owners and a refreshing pool. I would definitely stay here again.
