Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gut!
Altes, ehrwürdiges Haus mit sehr viel Charme. Ruhig und komfortabel. Einzig das Buffet am morgen war aus unserer Sicht dürftig, obwohl nicht sehr viele Gäste im Hotel waren und viel Personal herumstand, war z.B. die Käseplatte oft fast leer. Die warmen Sachen sahen nicht sehr appetitlich aus und der Kaffee war leider auch nicht gut. Dies war nicht das Haus würdig. Nach der Devise, wenig wäre mehr, lieber frisch, dafür gut.

Porto-Reise im Mai 2020
Trotz Corona (mit eingeschränktem Service-Angebot) war sowohl das Hotel, als auch die Stadt einmalig. Der Besuch hat sich gelohnt! Wir kommen wieder in Zeiten "nach-Corona", um nochmals alles voll geniessen zu können.

Das Hotel befindet sich an einer Top Lage, alles in Gehdistenz erreichbar. Das Personal, Service war wunderbar, das Zimmer sehr geräumig und tipptopp ausgestattet. Den Tag starteten wir mit einem fantastischen Frühstücksbuffet. Tolles Hotel - sehr empfehlenswert!

Freundliches, hilfsbereites und sprachgewandtes Personal. Man fühlt sich sehr gut aufgehoben! Grosse Zimmer und riesiges Bad. Die zentrale Lage ist perfekt, um die Stadt zu erkunden. Einziger kleiner Makel: Die Klimaanlage stört mit unangenehmem Rauschen und Zugluft. Aber es gibt ja den AUS-Schalter.

Hotel amazing, hotel-restaurant disappointing
Hotel: We booked a deluxe room for 4 nights. The hotel was as it was two years ago: wonderful! Stylish and spacey room with comfy and large beds, huge bathroom, everything immaculately clean, the entire hotel team always friendly and helpful! We love this hotel and we will certainly return. Hotel-Restaurant Astoria was, however, very disappointing: we had a great lunch but the dinner on the following day was not good at all. The starter "sea bass ceviche with coconut and lime" was quite salty and sour but there was not a hint of coconut or lime. The both main courses were even worse: fish cold and dry, the meat not saignant as we ordered. My wife returned her fish dish and had to wait almost half an hour to get her fish back. That was certainly not the way we wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary!

Tolles Hotel zum Wohlfühlen
Hotel ideal! Sauber, ganz tolles Zimmer mit fantastischem Bett,- wir haben so gut geschlafen! Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Verbesserung wäre einzig beim Personal wünschenswert. Es wirken zwar alle liebenswert und bemüht, manche aber doch überfordert und unprofessionell. Würde jederzeit wieder gerne hinfahrend!

Toll. Sehr schönes Zimmer, Bad mit Wanne und Dusche. Sehr netter Service. Wir konnten problemlos zwei Stunden eher Einchecken. Die Lage kann nicht besser sein, wenn man die Stadt Porto kennenlernen möchte. Einzig der Parkplatz ist mit 22,- Euro sehr teuer. Ein Parkaus um die Ecke kostet die Hälfte.

Mein Sohn (18 Jahre) und ich waren sehr beeindruckt von diesem schoenen Hotel,vorallem jedoch von der freundlichen,zugewandten und zuvorkommenden Menschen die dort arbeiten.Es herrschte eine sehr heimelige Atmosphäre. Der Service lässt keine Wünsche offen.Die Zimmer und die Badeeinrichtung sind sehr gepflegt,sauber und großzügig. Wir werden wenn wir erneut nach Porto reisen nur in diesem Hotel wohnen wollen.Vielen Dank an die Angestellten dort ,unser Aufenthalt wird uns immer in sehr schöner Erinnerung bleiben.vlg

Fantastisch!!
Eines der besten Hotels in Europa in dem ich abgestiegen bin. Die Zimmer sind sehr grosszügig, charmant und top eingerichtet. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet, kompetent und super freundlich. Die Lage ist exzellent, Mitten im Zentrum und könnte besser gar nicht sein, alles ist zu Fuss erreichbar. Ich würde jederzeit wieder im Palacio Cardoso übernachten, es ist den Mehrpreis gegenüber der Konkurrenz in jeder Beziehung mehr als wert.

There is MAJOR CONSTRUCTION directly across the small street from the entrance. Jackhammers were being used until 11 pm on a Friday night. I mentioned this on checkout, and they said “the construction company has a permit to work 24/7.” I heard that twice. Maybe they do, but it is terrible to be a guest there at this time. Construction is complete in APRIL 2026. Do not stay there until then. It is a shame as otherwise it is a great hotel.

There is a lot of construction happening directly in front of the building. Getting to the front door requires walking on the edge of a busy street. The room was very warm, I tried twice calling the front desk to ask if they could cool the room down with no improvement. They offered to bring up a fan at 2:30am as a solution to it being hot.

The hotel was amazing. Best shower, best bed, awesome staff. So helpful. The area around the hotel is under construction so you must navigate around that. If you have a car, you must valet. Location is perfect. Loved this hotel!!

Gorgeous hotel, the room was beautiful and one of the most comfortable bed we had in a long time. The staff was very professional and helpful and made us feel like VIP. There are a lot of constructions around the hotel but it’s not their fault. They were even thoughtful enough to provide hear plugs.

Look no further this hotel is simply outstanding! FIVE STARS all around! From the service, to the location, to the restaurant and bar! Everything was just great... The decor and the marble floors are impressive. The room was spacious and comfortable and everything was within walking distance from the hotel. My favorite part of the hotel was most definitely the restaurant. I loved their food and the staff was phenomenal. They really made my experience amazing. I cannot wait to visit again with my family!
