Perfekt zum Erholen und Runterkommen
Wir waren auf der Suche nach Ruhe und Erholung und haben genau das in Biscoitos gefunden. Wir waren im Winter vor Ort, wo die Azoren mehr oder weniger ausgestorben sind, und es war wundervoll! Das Haus ist groß, perfekt ausgestattet, mit Kamin, Grill, einer Küche mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Die Betten sind bequem, die Atmosphäre ein Traum. Einfach herrlich!

Ein sehr schönes grosses gemütliches Haus in toller Lage
Bereits im Vorfeld wurden unsere Anfragen sofort von den Eigentümern beantwortet .. Verspäteter Flug , Bitte um Grundausstattung für das 1.Frühstück alles völlig problemlos. Das Haus mit einer schönen überdachten Terrasse und dem großen Garten hat uns gleich sehr gut gefallen. Bei der Einrichtung fehlt es an nichts. Wir waren mit 4 erwachsenen Personen dort und hatten ausreichend Platz. Auch die Lage ist ideal. Man ist schnell zu Fuß an den tollen Naturschwimmbecken in Biscoitos .Fazit das Haus können wir 100 prozentig weiterempfehlen..

Zentrale ruhige Lage, guter Ausgangspunkt für die Inselerkundung. Sehr nette Besitzer, tolles Haus und Garten, kann insgesamt alles empfehlen. Auch die Insel ist sehr schön und man kann gut entspannen und wandern.

The location: The apartment is very central but still quiet. The apartment: Very spacious and clean. We only needed two of the three bedrooms. Kitchen and bathroom has everything you need. A water cooker would have been helpful for breakfast. Beds are good. WIFI over LTE router from the landlord. Washing machine available. Surroundings: Very large garden with a nice terrace. Open barbecue next to terrace. The landlord: Very friendly and attentive landlord. Surrender everything has worked out uncomplicated.

Gemütliches großes Ferienhaus
Die Vermieter haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen, alles ging sehr unkompliziert. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut eingerichtet, mit genügend Platz und Zubehör. Das Grundstück ist groß, genügend Platz zum Grillen, relaxen.... Das Haus ist gut erreichbar, es ist nur ein kurzer Weg zu den Badebecken. Auch alle anderen Ziele auf der Insel sind vom Ferienhaus gut erreichen. Vielen Dank für den schönen und gemütlichen Aufenthalt und weiterhin viel Erfolg.

Einfach Klasse!
Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt auf der Insel! Nelia und Francisco waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus war in einem Top-Zustand und lag nahe zum Badebecken im Meer. Besonderes: Wir wurden herzlich mit einer Obstplatte empfangen. Toilettenartikel waren kostenlos (Toilettenpapier, Ohrstäbchen, Seife, Seifenschaum, etc.) Auch Gewürze standen zur Verfügung. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und bietet viel Platz. Viel Möglichkeit, die Wäsche aufzuhängen und abends gemütlich beisammen zu sitzen. Von der Waschmaschine bis zur Obstpresse alles vorhanden. Ich bedanke mich nochmals bei Nelia und Francisco und wünsche Ihnen weiterhin viel Erfolg mit dem schönen Haus!

Francisco was a wonderful host. Our flight was later in the evening. He met us at the house upon our arrival. It's spacious and perfect for outdoor eating. It's very well stocked with everything we could want. The location is great, just up from the pools. It's everything described and then some. We would stay here again

Friends from Canada
We were 5 friends staying at this property for 3 nights. The hosts greeted us when we arrived and gave us a thorough explanation of the property- a very nice touch. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable. We most especially enjoyed the outdoor terrace and table and spent much of our time there. The house is a 10 minute walk to an outdoor swimming area and some food stalls. It is about 30 minutes to the airport. There is plenty of parking space if you have a car which I would highly recommend. The nearby town has a supermarket and a restaurant. A wonderful location.

Best rental house we have had!
This was our favorite rental! Francisco was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The house was spotless, kitchen was well-appointed, plenty of towels and supplies, beautiful yard and covered porch (ate outside everyday), all bedrooms air conditioned. Driveway is steep on a blind corner but we managed just fine. Natural swimming pools, market, pastry shop and restaurants are a short walk or drive. Would rent here again in a nano second.

Great house in great location
The house had everything we needed. Clean, very spacious and well equipped. Lots of outdoor space too with an outside table where we had all our meals. Our children loved the hammocks. We didn't have a hire car due to a mix up but it was easy to walk to the small shop in town (less than 10 min walk) and to the natural pools (less than 15 min walk). Also easy to get a taxi to Angra or the airport. The owners were extremely helpful. Very quick communication and they helped us when we forgot an item behind when we left , sending it on immediately to our next address. Thank you Francisco and Nelia. We would definitely go back!

The pictures don't do it justice!
This was a lovely home in Biscoitos! The location is quiet and it feels like you have your own villa in town. The house had everything we needed, the beds comfortable, and the yard was great for the kids. The piscinas naturais were really close, as was a park, grocery store, and some restaurants. It was easy to get around Terceira from this home. We loved it!

Spacious and clean. Plenty of towels and sheets. We especially enjoyed the outdoor dining table. Really convenient for going to the natural pools near by. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They met us at the house when we arrived. The only small complaints were that the internet was a little spotty. We came in July and the temperature was nice outside, but for those who slept upstairs it was a little stuffy.

The house was amazing and our hosts were fantastic! Just minutes from the beach where we watched incredible sunsets and just a block off the main road around the island, though you'd never know it, it was so quiet. Will stay here again if I ever get back to the islands. Three bedrooms on the main floor,, bed and futon in upstairs loft. Big dining room table and another on the patio. Lovely yard. It was a perfect home for our trip.

Almost Perfect!
The hosts were gracious and helpful. They came in to town to have us follow them to the house, provided us much information about he island and even left us with a full bowl of freshly picked figs. The house itself was perfect. Large open spaces, nicely fitted, clean and very comfortable with all we could need. The front patio/outdoor kitchen (where we spent much of our time) was an absolute delight and the yard roomy and well maintained. Good wi-fi in and out. Just a 10-15 minute (short for us) walk to the sea, swimming holes, restaurants, small grocery stores, bakery and butcher shop. The only downside (which we realize is beyond the control of the owners) was the constant barking, day and night, of many dogs. Hence the "almost" perfect. It was the very best of our 4 accommodations while visiting the islands (especially when we realized that barking dogs seem to be a standard in the residential areas of the Azores). Would return and certainly will recommend.

Great villa, great stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this nice villa. Hosts are always responsive and addressing all issues quickly. We found the villa very clean, functional and friendly. Natural pools are within walking distance; small supermarket is also nearby. Having a rental car allows you to discover other spots in Terceira. Highly recommended.

Biscoitos residence
We know Terceira from both past Lajes AFB transience and subsequent vacation visits. This is a great location, both the town and residence. Francisco and Nellia have offered a most private and accomodating home. It is ideal for two couples but three also would be comfortable if willing to share a common bathroom. A Bicoitos stay does require a car to enjoy the whole island but it is a nice rural/town atmosphere with the lava baths close by. I wish my Portugueses were better because I would like to ask Francisco about the home details which are masterful. Great owners, thanks and will return! JS

Absolutely perfect!
This home me and my family stood in was absolutely perfect. From the 15 min walk to the natural swimming pools, to the beautiful view of the landscape, absolutely stunning. It is located in the beautiful rustic village of Biscoitos. If you want a quiet, relaxing spot on this island, this home is the one to book your stay with. Very clean, plenty of towels and very spacious rooms. Francisco & Nélia were awesome. They were prompt when meeting up with us and gave us a tour of the house and local things to do. Perfect!
This house was the perfect location for a slow-paced, relaxing, and very-much-fun holiday. The only frustrating thing was that there were no friends or family around to share it with. This house is excellent for entertaining with seating and settings for around 20 people. The outside bar-b-q area is terrific with a wonderful wood-burning grill (we did steaks, burgers, and heated a left-over pizza on the grill), oven, and "stove-top." The table on the outside patio area is brilliant--in 30 seconds it goes from cocktail table height to dinner table height; the stools around it are also of a unique and original design. We had fires in the house almost every night (sorry if we used up too much of your fire wood Nelia and Francisco) and really enjoyed just listening to music and watching the fire. The inside of the house is cozy and comfortable, with nice sized rooms and everything you need for cooking and living. A 15 minute walk downhill through a very pretty, charming, and at times rustic neighborhood takes you to the wonders of the natural swimming pools of Biscoitos. It was a bit cold for swimming for these Florida boys but watching the huge waves rolling in, smashing into these gigantic rocks and the overflow forming the swimming pools is in itself worth a visit to the island. We were sorry to have to leave this wonderful house and can hardly wait to come back next year for a longer visit--nine day was nice but not enough. I seriously cannot imagine anyone staying at this lovely home and leaving with any negativity. It was a joy. Thank you for sharing your home with us Nelia and Francisco. Sean and David

New, updated home with Traditional Island charm
This was a great place, hands down. It was well maintained and recently built, but kept the traditional charm one would expect from a home on the islands of Azores. Really enjoyed the vast property with many trees and flowers and a beautiful fig tree that continuously supplied us with fresh fruit. The property had all the basic amenities one would expect and more. The amazing covered porch and outdoor bbq area was great for our whole family to entertain even to have guests, or just enjoy a simple morning coffee under the blue sky's and listening to waves, or late night coffee under the blanket of stars. It is very close to one of the most desirable swimming spots on the island "Biscoitos - Abismo" where we enjoyed a lot of our time. If I can offer one suggestion would be to have the internet access, however, I do not necessarily think with was all bad as it allows you to completely disconnect and truly focus on your time there. I would highly recommend the property to anyone, the owners were great and made themselves available before, after, and during our stay for anything we needed. A rare pearl!
We found a rare pearl when renting this beautiful home! Our hosts met us at the airport and guided us back to their home. The house is fully equipped, homey, and included many different amenities to make it feel like our own getaway retreat. Special Portuguese treats were waiting for us from our hostess! A mini tour of the Biscoitos visiting the local bakery and butcher shop (which we found absolutely wonderful and so reasonable!!) followed. A drive along the ocean gave us a picture of what our next ten days of heaven would be like. Even though the weather for the first few days was not on our side, it did not hamper our lengthy walks, hikes, and visits on the island. Our days ended with a glass of vino at the small, but , oh, so very friendly port café. It is a short ten minute walk from the house and one cannot pay for the view of the ocean, it was well worth the walk! Would we recommend this place, totally!! J and J from Canada
