Very Nice View

We had a very good Time here! The view is spectacular! The pool is closed the communication with the host is difficult (we got the check-in infos only a few hours before the check in ) but everythings else with the condo is great.

Beautiful views from an older property

The view from our unit couldn't be beat - mutliple windows all facing the ocean. Sea Lodge is an older property and in need of some repair. The king bed in the bedroom is great, but the "bed" by the window is not an actual mattress, it is very hard and not good for sleeping. Furniture was worn and not very clean, window screens were torn and taped, light/fan in the bathroom is handing from wires. Just an older unit in need of some TLC.

Stunning views

It’s hard to beat the views of this place. We were blessed to even see whales out in the distance. Easy parking and perfect place for me and my wife. Would go back again!

Incredible views

Loved the location and amazing views. Rental is starting to be a bit outdated from the listing photos. I had to contact the management company about the extensive mold in the bathroom but they responded quickly. The window that has the cushion you can sit or lay on was super uncomfortable and made my back hurt within 15min of laying on it. We loved seeing whales and birds from the patio. Breeze was nice at night but needed the fans.

Sealodge Perfect condo!

We used to live in Princeville and moved back to California. When we come back to visit the island we stay a Sealodge. This condo, by far, is the nicest one we have ever stayed in. It is on the ground floor with a fabulous view. It has been newly painted and refurbished thru out....new king size mattress, great living couch & TV. New washer & dryer. Very clean kitchen & cabinets. Decor is beautiful with many little extras. You won't be disappointed staying in this unit.

Great Views, Less Comfortable than Advertised

Pros:- great views and location. Super close to sealodge beach- nice kitchen and family room - great host communication - nice to have beach chairs and yoga mat provided! Cons:- marketed to sleep 4 but daybed is not a real mattress so not comfortable to sleep on. We used couch instead. - bathroom was moldy and smelled mildewy- limited kitchen supplies - no cutting board, storage containers, or pantry.

Great view, but noisy upstairs occupants. Toaster broken, fan and light above dining table not functional. If you accidentally (or don’t know better) lock the bottom lock, there is no way to get back in. Left voicemail and went an entire day with no return call. Love the SeaLodge, but this unit was disappointing.

My number one complaint is that this property was offered/booked for 4 adults, 1 bedroom, a sofa bed and a bed by the window. In reality there is only one bed in the bedroom. No sofa bed, and the “bed” by the window is just a cot on a wooden plank. Very hard and not suitable for sleeping through the night. So there we were, in Hawaii , 4 of us and only one bed while we paid for accommodations for 4. I communicated this to the owner but was offered no alternative. There weren’t even enough sheets to make a go of it on the couch until they delivered some the next day! This is unacceptable and I believe I deserve a refund for false advertising. Moreover, there is no AC and one of the ceiling fans was out of order and the other one was very weak. The shower was dirty and moldy. Drapes torn. Bed skirt has never been washed. I could go on. Overall the property is sub-par for the price. The view was the selling point but beyond that, the property is not worth the price. It is also difficult to locate and we were unable to enter for about 1/2 hour because they never sent us the link required to enter. I would appreciate Expedia’s intervention in some sort of compensation/refund for the troubles. We went there to get married and did not want to sour the trip with all these issues but the more we think bout it, the more we feel we need some resolution about this stay.

Problem with checkin

Manager of the appartment did not send us checkin instructions 24 hours in advance. She sent it only after we contacted her on the phone. Her instructions we wrong. For 90 minutes we could not get into the appartment waiting for a cleaning lady to drive from Kapaa to let us in. No compaints about appartment itself.

Worth it for the view

I agree with another recent review. The view was what made this condo amazing. This property has seen better days. There was a hole in the closet ceiling, cut to expose leaking pipes from upstairs, and a bucket was placed under the hole, and was about one third full of dirty water. It made the whole closet smell. We emptied the bucket and covered up the hole by placing it on something so it sort of sealed the hole, and some of the smell. The condo should not have been rented this way. Especially at the price charged. On a positive note the bed was comfortable, and we really appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella.

Lack of Communication

The best part about this condo is the view. It is absolutely accurate and cant be beat. If that is all you need in a condo then book away. Our experience here was less than great. It started before the trip when I read a recent review noting that the pool was undergoing maintenance. I contacted Sarah and asked if she had a timeline on when it would be completed and received a rather quick response "Ill double check." Sarah did not get back to me at all. The pool is down and we were told probably for the rest of the year. Ive asked for a partial refund as the pool was part of the reason we chose this location and have had no response. Sarah did communicate with us on our arrival day - I had a migraine and was very sick and asked for an early entrance. We did receive our code about 45 mins early. After that we never heard from her again - even after we reported that the toilet seat broke and could not be used. The other major issue with this unit was the water leak in the closet that still had an open ceiling and buckets under the pipe along with a very musty moldy smell if the windows were not open. The ceiling fan that looked new and the wires were still exposed, the socks and under garments that greeted us as soon as we walked in the door from under the couch. The sound transfer from the unit above was enough to wake us up out of a sound sleep. Every step was heard and sometimes felt in our room. I could add more but I am out of space.

Perfect little condo!!

This is a lovely little condo! Awesome view (as everyone says - it's true!), comfy firm mattress, cute futon window nook (for meditating, napping, or just hanging out), and nice art work on the walls. (Be sure to notice the paintings in the bathroom!) Kitchen was well stocked and we cooked for ourselves every night, so we used it a lot. Little porch/lana'i is wonderful for whale watching and ocean watching and bird-watching (and visiting with the local Kaua'i chickens). We did need to contact the owner/manager the day before for directions and check-in info, and some of the printed info in the condo book is out of date (such as needing a parking pass - we didn't). Once we figured out what number to text, however, we always got very prompt and helpful replies. So we took the initiative and all worked fine. And you can listen the the ocean, watch palm trees blow in the breeze, and see the beautiful tropical sky -- all from your bed (not bedroom - just bed)! Finally, the SeaLodge beach is a great walk and well-worth it for the views and small sandy beach with some rocks and coral. We didn't snorkel, but met people who had who said it was great!!

Beautiful view

Whatever one has to say about the property I have to say that the view was spectacular. The property itself was clean and supplied nicely. It is a little older. Some of the electricity needs to be updated. There were some maintenance issues but they were addressed quickly enough. Vrbo sent us an email with the wrong property address on it so the night we arrived it was after 10PM, very dark and we were trying to get into a location that was not ours. There was no one to call or to get to help us and we thought that we would have to spend the night in our car but then I was able to bring up the orignal Vrbo listing and I found the correct property number. I was told that there was a pool. The pool was closed since January and there was no date given when it would reopen. That was very inconvenient in that there is really no easy way to get to the beach and while my husband golfed, I couldn't sit by the pool and we had only 1 car. Really those are little annoyances but on a whole, the property was clean, comfortable, in a good location and gave incredible views and sunrises eveyr morning.

Gorgeous!

This condo was in a beautiful setting on a gorgeous island. The property had all the features and touches you would want and was beautiful! It’s in a great location for hiking the Kalalau or Waimea Canyon. Sarah is a very responsive host - even on Christmas. We would stay here again and fully recommend to you!

Christmas in Hawaii

The property was clean and had all the essentials. I had a hard time finding our unit the day we arrived and my phone call was not returned. The pool was closed for the duration of our stay, which was super disappointing. I wouldn’t have booked this VRBO if I knew there was no accessible pool. The views from the condo were amazing and we enjoyed waking up and falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean.
