Ate dinner on the first night and was sent to the moon over the incredibly delicious meal. Bar was fantastic and the bartender had some azaing creations. It is an amazing statistic that over 95% of the Bourbon made in the world comes from Kentucky. Having been a long time devotee I felt it only fitting that I visit a few distilleries and learn more about how it is made and of course sample maybe one or ten. We really enjoyed the Woodford Reserve tour it was well run and very educational with the bonus of only costing $14 US each. The old stone barrel warehouse had a smell that was totally unique and very hard to describe. When you breathed in through your mouth you could literally taste the bourbon in the air from the hundreds of oak barrels full of the slowly ageing liquor. The tasting was very informative and showed how pairing the different Bourbon's with different foods change its taste and flavour.
