This was the most horrible experience ever. My check in included me writing my name and phone number on a piece of paper next to others names... the hotel had a foul odour. Our room was filthy. There was yellow stains (almost like a dog lifted leg on mattress corners) sheets were also stained.
There was needle cover on the floor, window ledge was gross, fan on A/C was loud (I was trying to use this to air out the room) window didn’t open, and was being locked shut with part of a hockey stick, there was no screen. The ice bucket was completely filthy and had a bag in it that had clearly been used and full of dirt and grease like substance.
There was no toilet paper, nobody ever returned to the front desk, or answered the phone for the duration of our two night stay. I phoned from hotel room phone to front desk over a dozen times, and left messages. I also called from my cell phone to the hotel... never got through. Toilet paper is fairly essential, and the fact nobody was around to fix this issue.... confused me. How can a business be run like this. Completely disgusted with this. I have never felt so robbed of my money in my life.
On a positive note... I guess the bed was comfy.
I do enjoy staying in older hotels and rarely stay in fancy. I am not fussy, but this was completely and utterly pathetic.
