We weren't happy with the cleanliness of the room. After our arrival we found hair in the bathroom and also the corners of the room were quite dusty. An other problem is the construction of the bathroom. Although it is very nice because of the shower window, there didn't seem to be any kind of effective air system, so that the towels and so on stayed always damp. Apart from those points, the staff was very friendly and the hotel building was great. The room itself was very nice and even had a little (indoor) terrace. The location was alright, however it is a few blocks to walk to the centre.

Es un lugar muy bonito, excelente para parejas muy bien cuidado y un excelente trato de todo el personal de hotel, el local de café que esta a un lado excelente y te ofrece descuento por estar en el hotel., en pocas palabras todo MUY BIEN.

Nice decoration, and clean, I have 4 Samsung tvs but these one was so bad the receptionist had to come and fix it …and next Morning again hard to work with

Siempre que voy a Puebla me quedo en el Monarca y me encanta. Esta en el mero centro historico y la amabilidad es su distintivo aparte de que es un hotel muy bonito, limpio y super comodo.

Nos encantó, el hotel es bonito y los cuartos acogedores, las camas muy cómodas, lo recomiendo ampliamente, la próxima vez que vaya a Puebla, me hospedare ahí, todos fueron muy amables, y la ubicación nos encantó, super cerca del centro, te puedes ir caminando, de verdad que lo recomiendo mucho, vale la pena lo que pagas,

Maybe staff more than one person at a time?
The only negative experience I had was when, one of the nights I stayed at the hotel, I came back to find the front door to the hotel locked, with no one present at the front desk or within earshot of my knocking on the door. This was the case for approximately 15 minutes, until an employee appeared on the sidewalk and let me into the building. I felt vulnerable standing out there on the street with nowhere to do, and with important items in my room. It was not the end of the world, but not ideal, either.

We loved our stay at Casa Monarca! The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful - always ready to give directions, advice about sites to visit, restaurants, tours and shops or answer any questions we had. They spoke English very well and were happy to help us with our beginning Spanish. They made us feel at home! The room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was convenient with a variety of options, friendly staff and great coffee. We extended our stay and returned for a few last days before we left Mexico. We will return as soon as we can!

This boutique hotel es a renovated historical building. It is very comfortable and well decorated. The staff is very helpful and the restaurant associated with the hotel has excellent coffee and a great selection of breakfast options and juices.

This hotel is situated in a good and quite location, only 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral. Very cool and cozy design with the convenience of a small cafe and excellent food. Everything was very clean, the beds are comfy, and the staff was the best! They tried to help any way they could assisting us with English translation and finding a driver. Highly recommend it!

Great small hotel if your looking to be within walking distance of El Zocalo and restaurants/bars/shopping. The hotel only has 10 rooms but they are very nice. We had a balcony in our room but if your a light sleeper I would not recommend since its facing the main street. Carlos the bell man was excellent!! Great recommendations on restaurants and places to go. Overall the hotel is very nice and can't beat the price.

Lindo hotel y limpio
Calidad- precio muy bien, el hotel es muy bonito y las habitaciones están limpias, el restaurante deliciosa la comida, el personal muy amable y dan ganas de regresar, solo que nos toco una habitación en planta baja donde hay un vidrio y se traspasaba la luz, la habitación no contaba con ventana que diera al exterior con aire fresco lo que hace que se sienta humedad. Se escucha fácilmente ruido del lobby a la habitación.

Great small hotel... would go back for sure
The hotel is really nice. The rooms are comfortable and of good size. Really clean and great bed. No external noice on the room that we stayed. Location is great. The service is superb, probably one of the best. The cafe where breakfast is served is really good... ask for some mole one of the best in Puebla. Parking is a block away so no issues there.
