We had a great stay and truly appreciated the experience. While there were a few minor issues with some things in the property not working properly, what really stood out was how responsive and gracious the owner and property manager were. Alexandria and Frank addressed concerns quickly and were very easy to communicate with, which made a big difference.We were picked up at the airport by Orlando, who was a gracious and impressive young man. He brought us to the grocery store to buy essentials.The home was lovely and displayed beautiful art. You cannot beat the view from the rooftop. The bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which was amazing for our family of 5. We spent a lot of time at the pool playing basketball and on the rooftop playing ping pong or lounging around while taking in the scenery. Our kids(all adults) said it was the best and they gave everything about the house and the town a 10/10. The house is in the perfect location. It’s about a 4 min walk to the main beach or right into the town. Right outside of the gate is a beautiful garden path that you take to and from the beach/city. It is on a pretty healthy incline so you get a built in workout each time you leave. We rented a golf cart and used that occasionally, but it isn’t necessary. Mayte came every morning around 8am to brew fresh coffee and whip up breakfast. While she doesn’t speak any English, she was curious and patient with us as we cued up Google Translate. We’d definitely stay here again!

Everyone was wonderful, Marta was wonderful and so sweet. The pool is amazing, the beds are comfortable. For our extended family it was heaven. Even thou the town is close and quite loud most nights, the house is high enough and the windows and doors are sealed very well, so not as noisy as I thought it would be. We were there during the 24 hour shelter in place. Luckily we had rice, beans and tortilla ha ha.We rented a golf cart, waste of money for us. We did not use it. The walk up the steps from town was a good exercise. Only complaint is the gas grill was essentially inoperable for the whole week. We had young children and did not want to go to the restaurants. We used the tank less than 10 minutes. It seems it had rusted out. We were told he could not buy a new one without authorization from the owner.:( which took longer than our 7 day stay.) Honestly they should have 2 tanks to swap out, because there is no propane fill up in Sayulita.Be aware you are charged for drinking water. so have the correct bills available.We were in Sayulita for the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to, and staying at this Casa made it even better. We hope to return.Totally loved this house and Sayulia hope we can come back.--

Best family holiday

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was close to the beach and all the restaurants. We cooked a lot of our meals and we really appreciated the kitchen and the BBQ outside. Frank was quick to respond about any issues. Everything went really smooth and we'd be happy to return.

Hill top retreat

We had 6 adults, this property was clean and private. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and rooftop terrace. The property manager was quick to respond and very helpful. Sayulita was busy, so we appreciated the privacy of our own space. Make sure you are prepared to walk or golf cart up hill, it is pretty high up!

This property was perfect for our family. The location was a short walk to the plaza and many restaurants. We appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the comfortable beds. The only thing that was a disappointment was that a pool table was advertised, but it has been removed. The listing should have been updated to reflect that change.

Enjoyed our stay

Overall house was great for our family. FYI, there is no longer a pool table on the top deck. The fountain into the pool was lovely but only ran 15 minutes a day. The property manager was responsive but didn't meet with us as indicated and due to holidays we needed to buy a great deal of bottled water as the amount delivered was inadequate for our family.

Fantastic Trip

Our group of 7 came down to Sayulita for a wedding. The location is close to Downtown and the beach. Highly recommend getting golf carts just for the ease of traveling. The house is clean and meet all of our expectations. Marta made sure breakfast was ready for us before we headed out for the day. House was always clean when we returned. Pool is maintained daily. The only thing that might concern some people is the music you hear nightly from town while youre outside. Our group enjoyed it as we drank late into the morning anyways. Frank was easy to communicate with and addressed our needs quickly. I highly recommend Casa Cariño on your next trip to Sayulita. The family of the bride and myself were very pleased and Im sure you will be also.

Sayulita Stay, Lessons Learned

The property manager did not meet us at the house as stated. Our August vacation was interrupted by a 14-15 hr. electricity outage. Even though the contract indicated frequent outages the house was not stocked to deal with this. With no A/C, fans or running water (think toilets), we couldn't find flashlights, there were candles no matches. The property manager was very responsive via texting, but was not familiar with some of the details of the house...like how to lock the doors, codes for the outer gate (which never worked...luckily there was a security guard in the street on our first night out who had the correct code). I would not rent a house in Sayulita that doesn't have a back up generator. Even tho our contract indicated no refunds, we were disappointed to not receive some compensation. The owner did offer a night out for dinner/drinks, but we ended up having to relocate early due to the discomfort. The electricity did come back on shortly after we left. With steady electricity ...no guarantees...(or back up generator) and an onsite property manager to greet us and show us around it would have been a totally different experience.

Really nice home close to central Sayulita

8 of us enjoyed our stay in Sayulita. The pool and rooftop deck were great. Frank was very helpful arranging transportation. Breakfasts were terrific. The only negatives were that for the older members of our group the walk up the hill from town was pretty hard. And it was really hot (in fairness, we knew both of these might be problems) Plus, it can get pretty noisy late at night, especially in the upper bedrooms. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

We had a wonderful time at this home just blocks from town and beach. The pool was a popular hangout given the very hot conditions. Having AC in every room was great and the house was very well equipped with all basic amenities. Would highly recommend.

Stunning property!

From the very beginning Frank made sure we had everything we needed from transportation, to the golf carts, to the chef! Just fabulous. The views are stunning from this house. You have a perfect view of the the beach to the mountains. Rosa was amazing…she made all the breakfast in the morning and each day it was delicious. The pool table and putting green provided a ton of entertainment. The house is very close to town which made it so easy to get around. The place was well stocked. Plenty of kitchen supplies and towels. Beautiful art work all around. We loved our stay. If I were going to comment on anything negative (which isn't much) would have been the pillows and we wish the pool was heated as it was cool at night. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay immensely. For sure we would stay again.

Absolutely incredible

Everything was seamless! The check in form they provide for you to fill out weeks prior your stay is all accommodated for right when you arrive. From the golf cart rental company coming, airport pickup and breakfast the next day. The owner was in contact from the first day to make sure everything went smoothly from finding the house, to ensuring we needed and had everything we needed. In addition he answered any recommendations and tried to find us a last minute chef despite us not filling that out on the form weeks prior. The cleaning crew is thorough for both the rooms/house and pool. It made vacation a true vacation! My young kids 3 and 6 did not want to leave. It was an Incredible pool, the beach was easily walking distance for them both down the hill! I would recommend this house in Sayulita over and over and over again!

This was the perfect property for our group of friends. Close to town, clean, comfortable beds and all the amenities you could need. Daily breakfast was wonderful, including fresh made juice. Mayte was lovely and took care of all of our inside needs. Frank the property manager was super responsive and helpful. Julio and Angel took care of the pool. Would not hesitate to recommend this Casa!

Amazing getaway!

We came to stay here with 2 other couples over thanksgiving. The bedrooms are all private and have their own bath which was great for all of us. The outdoor area is amazing day or night and the music from the Town is so lively! Town is a short walk away and there are tons of fun things to do. Ernesto was an amazing host and was able to arrange a suburban to take us to and from the airport. Fidel, The driver even stopped at multiple spots on our way into town so that we could get all of the food and beverages for a few days. Ernesto checked in on us daily and was very attentive. There was always a purified water delivery daily, and cleaning help whenever you ask for it. We asked if there was a grill on the property to cook up some Mahi mahi we bought at the market, and Ernesto was kind enough to assemble and bring over an amazing outdoor grill for us! So you will be able to grill your own food here too if you don’t want to go into town. Would come back and stay here anytime! Would highly recommend to anyone. The rooftop view can’t be beat!

Beautiful home in a beautiful town!

I cannot begin to express how lovely our experience was at Casa Carino! The house is gorgeous, incredibly furnished with comfortable beds (even great pillows!), beautiful art, lovely kitchen, perfect pool... Ernesto is fantastic, and every other person we came in contact with was wonderful. One teeny tiny suggestion - which is in no way a reflection on the owners of this home - is to bring ear plugs if you plan to go to bed before 2am. The sound of dance music from town floats right up the beautiful hillside and into the the upstairs bedrooms at night (even with doors closed and sound machines on). I imagine this is the case for any of the homes that are up above the town. An easy trade off, though, to have that view, be walking distance to EVERYTHING, yet still have a removed and very private feeling space. I hope to be back soon!

Great location, but issues with house and town

The location and house were great - the pool was great, most of the staff were prompt and helpful, and the location was ideally one block off town and beach. Unfortunately, we had a burst hot water pipe for our entire stay, so no hot water. Limited response from the managers until our last day there, where they jackhammered the side of the house for 2+ hours. Also, unrelated to the house but certainly related to the glowing description the owners give this town: February has a county fair in town, and an MC/music BLASTED up the hill to the house every night until ~1am. Earplugs and white noise still didn't fully cut the noise. Finally, generally, read other reviews of Sayulita before traveling there, particularly regarding the unignorable trend of sickness clobbering the town. It must be the sewage and overpopulation of the area - whatever it is, our entire party got sick, as did the entire house next door (we all drank filtered water, were super careful, ate different things, etc). Having traveled to Mex, Bali, and several other 3rd world areas without any issues in my life, I'll unfortunately be advising everyone who will listen to stay away from Sayulita until they address this pervasive sewage/sicness outbreak in the town.

Lovely home

We spent a week here mid February. The house is quite lovely with fantastic art, comfortable beds and a a nice heated pool that is essential in February. Service was great and Ernesto helped us with several arrangements that were cheaper and top notch! The patios were very comfortable for the 4 of us. Also the house is on the side of town that gets shade in the late afternoon which was great in the heat of the day. A couple of cons - there is no oven. A gourmet kitchen should include an oven. Also it was lacking in cookware. One 8 inch fry pan was insufficient for the 4 of us. If you had a larger group than 4 cooking would be too problematic as everything seems to be sized for 2. Not to worry I bought a set of larger fry pans so if they keep them in the house future guests can at least fry more than 2 eggs at a time. Noise does seem to drift directly up from the couple of loud bars that are just down the hill. It did not bother us but if you require silence it might. Sayulita is a great beach town and we would definitely stay here again.
