Be careful when you're traveling to Puerto Vallarta, especially if you're staying at Selva Romantica.
After only being there for 12 hours the condo was broken into, we were robbed and one of the ladies was assaulted. We are four mature women and at about 1 am an intruder came into the condo. Yes -all doors were locked. But there were 4 sets of French doors that were pretty flimsy and how he gained entry. 2 sets of doors did not even have curtains. Definitely had a false sense of security since it took 3 sets of keys to get into the condo, gate, front door gate and front door.
They also had not provided the code for the safe which we did not realize till going to bed that night. We got there at 2 in the afternoon. We had an early dinner and grocery shopping, then went back to the condo for swimming. Stayed in the pool for a little bit and then we were asleep by 10 PM. At 1 in the morning, one of the ladies started screaming because someone was touching her. Thank God no one was hurt. But all of our cash was stolen. We called for the security guard to call the police. He refused to call the police until we insisted; it took about 20 minutes to convince him to call the police. When the police got there, they looked around, but they did not want to file a report. Until we insisted.
The next day we called the management company. They provided the option of a refund and then offered to move us. Only received upgrade, they said misunderstanding.
Last ants in the kitchen.
