The host is great. I just wish we would of considered how steep this property is . Although we were told about the incline to the home and throughout the home it still was surprisingly difficult to move around. Beautiful view , AC works well , kitchen could use some upgrades and bbq should be gas not charcoal.. pool was a bit chilly and out of the sun .
We loved our stay! This house is unique. The living area is all outside which you will enjoy because sitting out and looking over the ocean is breathtaking. Each of the rooms has their own space with a bathroom and an entrance from outside. While it might be difficult for elderly or young children, we found the stairs manageable and the house built into the hill to have a lot of character. The drive up the hill to the house is also lovely. Mismaloya is a wonderful little local town and we loved the culture and friendliness of everyone we met. Highly recommended!!
Our recent two-week family painting trip to this incredible property in Mexico was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by accommodating staff who made us feel right at home. The private rooms were impeccably clean, with no insects in sight and screens on the windows, allowing us to enjoy the fresh air without worry. The breathtaking views from the property provided endless inspiration for our landscape paintings. We were surrounded by natural beauty, and the sounds of birds and nature created a serene atmosphere that we had only dreamed of. The location was perfectâan easy walk to town where we found a tienda and pharmacy, and taxis were readily available for our convenience. The owner was exceptionally attentive, responding to our requests within minutes and ensuring we had everything we needed. We truly wanted for nothing during our stay. The price of the home was very reasonable, especially considering the complete privacy we enjoyed in the gated community, surrounded by beautiful villas. We are already planning our return trip, as this experience was one we will cherish forever. If you're looking for a peaceful and inspiring getaway, this property is the perfect choice!
Photos do not do this property justice. Exquisite views with many terraces. Everything functions fine, perfect for a relaxing stay in a great area. Literally a 10 min beautiful stroll to the beach. Great restaurants nearby. What more can you need. Lourdes was very accommodating and helpful. She made me feel at home giving us a great itinerary before our arrival. This vacation was plug and play. 8 nights of awesomeness!
Will be back!
Quinta Lourdes is an amazing home. The views are stunning, the bedrooms tucked into the side of the mountain make each suite feel private, and there's a beautiful pool on the lower level. For me, though, the real winner was the host - we had a personal emergency during our trip, and she was so kind, so thoughtful, she checked in on us every day and did her best to support us from afar. What an incredible host, we felt like cherished family and we are so grateful to have stayed here.
We enjoyed this property as it gave everyone a bit of space but had areas that we could gather in as well. We managed with the stairs, even our 3 year old grandson did well. The pool maintenance "Adam" was very polite and attentive. The communication with Maria was excellent and she was always helpful. It was very nice that there were water jugs available as well.
The views from this property, especially at sunset are amazing. A very enjoyable stay!
This house is a true dream. The view is every bit as glorious as the photos and sunsets are breathtaking. You have use of a gorgeous villa and relaxing pool in the middle of a verdant jungle. All issues in past reviews with air conditioning, fridge, etc. have been fixed - everything works great and we were able to keep cool in the middle of 95 degree weather. The house is up a very steep hill so walking home from the beach etc. isnât easy, but we never had problems finding Ubers and cabs. One note - although the house is as beautifully secluded and serene as the pictures show on the north side, on the south it shares a wall with the house next door. Construction workers there were unfortunately blasting music throughout the day at a somewhat inconsiderate volume. This didnt disrupt our experience too much and the house is still beautifully private, but just an FYI. We loved our stay here and would recommend highly. Thank you to our very communicative and considerate host!
The home looks beautiful and is in an amazing location, the grounds keeper Aiden was great!
The host seems very easy to talk to and is very warm and welcoming at first. Then the lip service begins and the lies continue to come. The first day we got there we were told it takes a while to get the master room and the room below it cooled off with the air conditioners, So as soon as we got there we turned them on in hopes that the rooms would cool down. They didnât.
I contacted the host after the first night explaining the situation and she said she would get someone out there to look at them. The company came and looked and said that the compressors in both air units were out and the units needed to be replaced. Little did the host know that my husband speaks Spanish and is an electrician/ contractor and was in complete conversation with the guys the whole time. She told the company to lie to us and tell us they didnât have the parts to fix the units, when in fact- they did! They told my husband that they have two new units and they could be installed same day but that the host said no because she didnât have the money to do so. The guys from the company said they would not even stay in either of the rooms and that they were unfit for anyone to stay in. After the host realized my husband speaks Spanish communication stopped. All 7 of us stayed in two very small rooms the rest of the trip. Dryer also does not work, Refrigerator does not stay cold or closed.
Very nice property, basic, clean and quiet with many areas to unwind and take in the sun or have a cool dip in the pool. Kitchen and main gathering area is outside which is perfect for Mexico. We will be back.
What a beautiful house. A jungle setting in paradise. Stunning bay vistas. All requests were answered immediately by a friendly staff. You will this fabulous villa.
We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were great and well kept. The hosts of the house were very accommodating and welcoming. Working internet, beautiful view, wonderful stay all around for us and our children.
We spent 2 weeks at this property and had an unforgettable time. We have 4 children under the age of 9 and they loved all of the outdoor living. It was unlike anywhere weâve ever stayed before. The description of the property is accurate and as described.
We spent mornings at the beach across the Main Street (we drove as itâs too far to walk with the kiddos) and afternoons at the pool at the house. The main bedroom is very spacious. Maria was quick and kind to help us with anything we needed. We were sad to leave + hope to be back!

The photos are accurate but somehow don't really show the true beauty.
Where to start...
Communications with Maria were great. She responds right away and is always ready to help. AdĂĄn, the caretaker, is a perfect host. Keeping everything spotless and always with a smile.
The Kitchen/Living Space has really great appliances. A super cold fridge, six burner gas stove and oven. Lots of dishes, good quality cooking vessels and was really easy to manage. We cooked a lot and it was super fun. If I had a recommendation it would be to make sure to come with anything you can't live without. (paper towels, pepper, hot sauce, sugar and of course the food you want to eat). You can always go in to Mismaloya to buy food (down the road, through the gate and head up the road to your left, by the river).
The top patio is fantastic. Every morning I got up at the crack of dawn, pulled out a lawn chair and listened to the birds and watched whales. There are so many species of birds here, chachalacas, parrots, turkey vultures to name a few. And of course watching the sunrise. Breathtaking!
Rooms are great. Maria's #48 photo has a good visual of the big room with the internet. The other rooms are smaller, all lovely. Each with its own character. Lots of towels supplied. Would recommend bringing extra toilet paper if you have a longer stay.
Jungle Pool is fantastic. What a setting. Deep enough that you can actually get a bit of a swim in. AdĂĄn cleans every morning. There are some resident iguanas on a nearby rock which adds to the jungle feel (also, they are harmless and scamper off when humans are around). Spent many hours here, when I could pull myself away from the patio.
Travelling from Casa to Mismaloya: It's high, on a steep hill. I really enjoyed the walk and did it every day. If you are not keen on hills get a business card from one of the fellows at the cab stand (across the road at the foot of the hill or call an Uber).
I would highly recommend this Casa. A most tranquil setting and an unforgettable experience.
SO. I'm a 67 year old physician. I have stayed in VRBO-equivalent locations in Chile, Spain, France and Mexico. But never have I enjoyed any location as much as Quinta Lourdes in Mismaloya. What's the saying? "From soup to nuts"? From the first communication with Lourdes prior to my arrival, to the day I left, we simply had a fabulous time. The property was perfect for what we wanted: secluded, scenic, an incredible deal financially. Lourdes photos do NOT do it service. It is not air conditioned, and we were there in January, so it was perfect: plenty of ceiling fans, and it's high up so we got a TON of ocean breeze. And it's not a house: it's more of a compound! The bedrooms are completely separate! The master suite was VERY spacious, and the other rooms much smaller, but talk about private! We walked to the beach, and to town. But I will warn you: Mismaloya is pretty much shut down on Sundays, although there are always taxis to PV available (about $12 one way, and maybe 20 minutes).
So. I could go on. But I think you get the idea. It's not a "happening" sort of place. If you want noise and partying then stay in PV. But we had a FABULOUS time.
Home is just as described, very nice views of the ocean and jungle. Very clean and Lourdes is the sweetest person to communicate with. We definitely enjoyed our stay at that home.
The property was beautiful. The views were beautiful. Workers came every day to clean and/or fix whatever was necessary. The owner was friendly, solicitous, and paid attention to detail and needs.
I highly recommend staying here.
