„Avons réservé une chambre dans ce bel établissement authentique de Dordogne. Avant de partir de Bordeaux, j’ai appelé pour savoir s’il était aussi possible de déjeuner, grand bien m’en a pris car notre déjeuner foi gras et cœur de canard était juste un régal assaisonné comme nous apprécions. Puis avons été accompagné à la chambre. Une chambre certes petite (mais cela était bien dans le descriptif) et refaite à neuf où rien ne manque (serviette savon etc etc). „Das Hotel ist ein aelteres Haus mit Innenhof und Pool in diesem Hof. Hotel und Zimmer machen einen gepflegten Eindruck, das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Fruehstueck gut aber nur kalt. Die Lage ist optimal Zur schoenen Innenstadt. Dienstags und freitags sollte man Parkplatz mitbuchen, da mittwochs und freitags Markt ist.“

Chris and Irma created a beautiful, charming, and extraordinary place in the Vignobles of Bordeaux. The Chateau Masburel is a working vineyard and we had the pleasure to not only taste their wines but also to have a wine production tour. „Food is excellent and we were made very welcome despite arriving late for dinner after a long drive. The chateau itself is a lovely building in a beautiful setting and is furnished with an eclectic mix of antique and modern. Atmosphere is relaxed and informal. We didn’t have time to use the spa facilities but will do next time we visit.“
