We enjoyed an excellent holiday at Maison Emeraude - easily one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had.
The Maison itself is a perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and authenticity. Every detail feels thoughtfully curated, from the tasteful interior design to the serene atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully appointed - spotlessly clean, spacious, and filled with nice details. Waking up each morning felt like waking up to paradise, with peaceful surroundings and a sense of total relaxation.
What truly sets Maison Emeraude apart though, is the hospitality of Franck and Miguel. The hosts go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, offering a level of warmth and personal care for their guests that you won’t get in any other hotel on the Azores.
Breakfast is the best you can imagine. Fresh fruit from their own huge garden, good coffee and a tasty varying selection make it a blessing in the morning.
The dinner is also a clear recommendation. The food is selected in coordination with the guests and freshly cooked. We liked it very much.
The location is also ideal - tucked away in a quieter area but still perfectly positioned for exploring the island’s beautiful landscapes, from volcanic lakes to lush greenery and rugged coastlines. After a day of adventure, returning to the calm and comfort of the Maison felt like coming home.
Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. We will definitely return here for our next trip to the Azores.
