We had a lovely stay at Avon View. Timo was on hand to resolve the initial niggles and from then it was smooth sailing. The kids loved the pool and the adults enjoyed the hot tub, games and cinema room. The snooker table in particular was a hit, not many properties offer a full size table. The only minor critiques would be one of the ensuites needs some hooks as its quite small with limited storage space, and the bedroom next to the kitchen is not that insulated from the noise. Back to good points, location is great, easy drive to the village and within delivery range for a lot of restaurants. We would happily stay again.

We just got back from a flawless stay at the property. We couldn't have asked for a better trip. From location to facilities to cleanliness we can't fault it!We were greeted by Timo who provided fantastic support to us the whole trip and before booking. The house was very clean and the grounds spotless too.The pool was the perfect size and Timo explained how to use the cover along with the hot tub. The kitchen has state of the art facilities and there were plenty of bathrooms for the 12 of us to use. Wifi was perfect and we had no issues with signal.Can't wait to come back as we had an absolutely lovely time!

We had an excellent stay, The house was perfect for our group , open plan great for crawling babies and toddlers, we loved the outside amenities super safe cover on pool, tennis courts, superb games room and so much outdoor space, not forgetting the hot tub and covered outdoor bbq area. Great communication with Timo, would definitely suggest visiting nearby Moors country park 10 mins drive away, Great location would love to return some time in the future , also if you put in Matchams view point in your satnav you will have no problems finding it

New Forest holiday cottage

We had a great stay. The property is comfortable and well-equipped, with plenty of areas both indoors and outside for eating and relaxing. The facilities are fantastic - an outdoor pool (heating on but still rather chilly), jacuzzi, tennis court and a separate games room with snooker and pool tables, darts, fussball and cinema room! A shame that the main road is so close, but good quality double glazing meant that we weren’t disturbed by traffic noise overnight. Otherwise an ideal location for the New Forest and the coast around Bournemouth. Directions to the property were clear and we were welcomed and shown round when we arrived. There has clearly been some recent redecoration and still some minor snagging needed, but this did not detract from a wonderful stay.

Cousins and family get together

The property is wonderful for a gathering of mixed generations. Close to the coast but not particularly necessary as the facilities on the property are fantastic. Pool, jacuzzi, game’s room, two tv lounges, bbq, outdoor eating and fire area with log pile. Vast garden with lots of play areas….. what’s not to love….

Family birthday celebration

We had an excellent time here with the family. The facilities were great and the house lends itself to a family holiday. Only slight downside was the traffic noise from the A31. We were well looked after by Timo who sorted any little problems quickly. We would love to return one day.

Family weekend

Great property, ideal for families with children over 7. Great pool, tennis court, games room, film room. Our four grandchildren made use of all of them and loved it. Quite difficult to find even with sat nav, would have been nice to have clear directions.

Lovely break.

This was a great property in a superb location. The fact that there is so much space in the house, grounds and outbuildings meant that every individual in the group was able to relax and enjoy the ample facilities. The only slight disappointment was that the swimming pool was too cold for our toddler but I do understand the difficulty and expense of heating an outdoor pool at this time of year.

An amazing place to stay!

We visited the property as 3 families to celebrate a milestone birthday. We had such a lovely time staying at this beautiful property. It really does have everything you could wish for. There was so much space in both the property and the grounds that we could all come together as a group but could just as easily have some time out if you needed it. Swimming Pool and hot tub were brilliant and lovely and warm and the outdoor eating area is fantastic. We would love to come back and stay again!

Amazing property and great hosts

We stayed in Avon View as a family group with different aged children and adults. We were very lucky with the weather but the property was amazing and was like we were abroad, especially having the swimming pool. The property was well stocked with any utensils you required and had lots for everyone to do. It was also secure so we didn’t have to worry about the dogs escaping. Timo was very welcoming and quickly replied to any question we had. The location of the property also meant that the children could be children without worrying about neighbours. We would definitely recommend this property and the host and will be booking again.

Avon View a break away with friends

This is a lovely property with all the amenities that a group with children could wish for. A swimming pool, hot tub, tennis court and games room. We especially liked the undercover BBQ area. Only minor things in the property need attending to like shower shelves and hooks for towels. The only downside was the fact that if you like walking you need to get in your car and drive to an area to do so. But overall we had a lovely time here.

We loved our family's stay at Avon View. The house was large and had all the amenities needed for a wonderful holiday for a large family, with the highlights for us being the pool, spa and large garden. Susanna the owner communicated promptly and helpfully before our stay and Timo the Property Manager was there when we needed support and was extremely friendly. The house itself was extremely well appointed and we really appreciated the small touches that made life simpler, like the supply of coffee and barbecue fuel. Would highly recommend for a large group.

Fantastic Venue

Fantastic venue for an extended family holiday. The inside communal areas together with brilliant outside facilities made our week a wonderful memorable stay. Everything was of a very high standard , the support of a gardener would make it perfect . Plenty to do together as well as quieter areas . Good location , superb house and facilities on a large , mature private plot.

The grounds property and facilities are splendid and Timo who manages the property was very responsive and immediately supplied our needs. Our only reservations were that the tennis court while playable was in a poor state of repair and there was continual traffic noise from A338/A31. Overall though a very enjoyable stay

Great New Years Retreat

Our party of 6 adults and 5 children thoroughly enjoy our stay at Matchams. The property is very well appointed and is in a very good decorative and clean condition. The hosts were all very welcoming and friendly. They welcomed us at check-in with a quick tour and nothing was too much trouble for them to accommodate for us. We stayed for three nights from the 30th December to the 2nd January and the property provided our group with all that we needed to have a relaxing and entertaining time over the new year. Particular favourites were the hot tub, the games room, the large flat screen TVs (the kids enjoyed their Cinema afternoon’s) and the conservatory which provided a great space for our New Years eve celebrations! The living areas contained large comfortable sofas, together - the kitchen included high-end Neff appliances and the diner provided ample space and with a large dining table to ensure the group were suitably catered for at meal times. Finally the bedrooms were spotless and cosy and bathrooms clean and modern. I would highly recommend the property and the hosts and would be interested in visiting again.
