« Loved staying at the Birds and Bees Cottage. It was so peaceful waking up each day, sitting on the porch and enjoying the views of the farm. This cottage was the perfect spot to unwind after visiting some local wineries. It was quiet and very easy to relax on the porch with a good book in the evening. Hope to return in the fall. »

« My husband and I stayed here over a long weekend to explore the Staunton area and it worked out nicely. The owners were always very on top of communication, kind, and accommodating. Everything in the home was decorated well, and functioned well for 2 people who like to save a bit and do breakfast in the house and have some leftovers around after eating out. The location was close to downtown and we walked practically everywhere in the downtown area from the house. It does sit atop a pretty steep...

« We stayed at this property for the 2025 Washington and Lee graduation. It was the perfect choice because it provided a place to relax with grandparents and our family. The property and house was magnificent with great views of the mountains. The house was spacious and just made you feel at home. The hosts were responsive but not intrusive. Our only regret is that we did not find this property sooner in our 4 years worth of travel back and forth to Lexington. »

« We were in town for baseball tournament. The house was the perfect location. We had everything we needed with plenty of space. The yard was perfect for kids to play and have a cookout. The neighborhood was fantastic also with walk to park for my youngest child to play on playground. The boys swam in the river. Would stay here again. »

Everyone in our party raved about how cute, comfy, well laid a house it is! « Able to have privacy but close to where we needed to be. Very Clean and perfect for a work trip or vacation. »

« The setting is beautiful. I know from my research about the Thorn Creek restoration project some years ago and wow what a success that was. The cottage was so cleanAnd well stocked with everything you could possibly need or want. Can't wait to come back. »

« Our family of 5 stayed at the Gingerbread Cottage for 3 nights to celebrate our daughter's college graduation from JMU. The location was ideal as it was not far from Harrisonburg and close to restaurants. We had fun at Cave Hill Brewery, which was close and had great meals at Thunderbird Cafe (breakfast) and Hank's (great bbq dinner). We highly recommend staying at this property and would return if in the area again. »
