Gut: Sauberkeit und Komfort des Zimmers
I’ll start with the pros - great location, large rooms, very comfortable beds and excellent communication. The cons - no kettle provided (I was told to boil water in a saucepan to make a cup of tea), no shampoo or any other amenities provided (apart from hand soap) and only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people staying 3 nights (but more was delivered when I asked for it), coffee machine didn’t work (or maybe we couldn’t work it out). What to be aware of - there are 3 bedrooms but only one has a bathroom as an ensuite. All the others have their own private bathroom but you have to walk through a common kitchen/meals area to access it. We put our teenage kids in the ensuite bedroom and we slept in the other one but used their bathroom. Each bedroom locks (with a key not a snip or chain on the back of the door) which meant we had to literally lock them in at night (for safety as I was not prepared to leave them sleeping in an unlocked bedroom with strangers staying 10m from them in the other room). I asked for another set of keys so they could have keys with them in case they needed to exit the room during the night but was told there were none. I found an extra set in a drawer so that was good (although I don’t know why I wasn’t given them). Finally this is a basement and although it had windows it feels and smells damp when you enter eg my eyeglasses would immediately fog up when coming in from outside (it was winter). Not a big deal for us but it might bother others
