Cecilia was very responsive, helpful with transportation arrangements, addressing a couple of maintenance issues, and accommodating our early arrival.
There were four of us in the group. Myself, my husband, my mom and her sister. The apartment is very spacious. We did not feel like we were on top of one another.
The property was very clean except for the shower by the back bedroom. It had mold and that needs to be addressed.
The check in process was easy. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was our passports being photographed on a personal cell phone. I asked why they were being photographed and was told something, but I don't remember what he said.
The pictures of the property are accurate. The location is in walking distance to everything. The longest walk was 40 minutes at a leisurely pace. The neighborhood seems like a back alley area but it really gives you a very authentic perspective of living in Rome. We were never uncomfortable walking around day or night.
The mattresses on the twin beds in the back bedroom were comfortable for my mom and aunt. The mattress in the main bedroom needs to be replaced. It was not comfortable and I could feel some of the springs in it. For context: I do not like platform beds. I like beds with a mattress and box spring.
Very close to restaurants, grocery store, shopping, etc. The apartment is fully stocked so cooking is very easy. Suggestion: offer at least two dish towels and washcloths (for kitchen and bathroom). There is a dishwasher but not enough utensils and such to get more than one day without having to run it. We washed dishes by hand.
The biggest issue and it has been commented on many times is addressing how damp and musty the apartment feels and smells. We washed a few things by hand and since there is not a clothes dryer, the items have to air dry. It took two days for the items to dry. Suggestion: offer floor fans for guests to use to dry clothes or add a clothes dryer to the apartment.
We checked in November 2nd and checked out November 5th. The weather was warm during the day but cooler at night, so we didn't need to run the a/c units most of the time. A couple of nights it got pretty chilly and we could have used some heat but we made due. If we had plans to stay longer, we would have asked to have the heat on.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again if the above items were addressed.
