Great and perfect for the end of your visit in Rom
When in Rome.. there are three hot hotels at the moment.. Rhinoceros, Chapter and G Rough. We entered and the first impression.. wow!!! That tiles looking golden and reflecting the beautiful surroundings. Got greeted nicely and got offered an early check-in plus welcome drink. The suites are spacious apartments which pick up the tiles in the bathroom. Big Sofa in the living room and table to enjoy your food delivery… you should do that when you have such a beautiful view on the skyline. Such a beautiful designed hotel with a very inviting public area to sit and enjoy a coffee or a drink. Probably it does not matter which room you book, but we especially loved the bathtub in the Pasquino Suite. There was one thing we did not like - got called at 11:30 am to remind the check-out time is …right now. BUT - The reservation sheet of hotels.com says it is at 12. So that was stressy and forgot to take some pics due to that.. and we were not wrong. Have never experienced that in such a hotel. Really want to see the sister Hotel Palazzo Daniele with less stress at the end;)

Top Design zu sehr hohen Preisen
Das Hotel ist für alle Designliebhaber definitiv eine Reise wert. Stilistisch auf den Punkt getroffen, sehr sicher gewählt und absolut angesagt gerade. Viele tolle Details wie Leinenbettwäsche oder The Box als Lautsprecher für das smartphone machen Spaß. Schade war, das unser Zimmer in solch einer Preiskategorie, kaum Licht hatte, da es nach hinten heraus lag und die Fenster in einen Innenhof/ Schacht endeten. Das fühlte sich sehr beengt an. Die Matrazen waren noch so neu, dass sie definitiv zu hart waren. Und die Preise in der Minibar waren inakzeptabel. In Summe ist aus aus professioneller Sicht ein Top designtes Haus in bester Lage. Aus persönlicher Sicht, bei den Preisen, sehr kritisch betrachtet, am Ende eben dann doch nicht perfekt und einfach zu teuer.

Very eclectic design and styling (especially vintage furniture) and friendly and helpful staff. More authentic experience thank a typical hotel. Water pressure/temperature not ideal, but the rest more than makes up for it. Also excellent bar downstairs.

The property was exactly what I expected from a design hotel. Beautiful property, very cool ambience, and the accommodations were very special. There are only 10 rooms in this hotel so it is a completely boutique experience. You will definitely want to grab a drink or two at the hotel bar. The location could not be better. It was a very walkable neighborhood surrounded by dozens of fantastic restaurants and shops. Like all hotels in Rome city center, the rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy at night. Trash trucks come by late at night and you can hear the bar crawlers laughing and singing into all hours of the night. Bring a travel white noise sound machine or earplugs and you will sleep comfortably.

Beautiful hotel in a great neighborhood! Loved how the “lobby” was a very hip bar but not loud at night. Our room was so clean and had great amenities. Recieved some great recommendations from the guy who checked us in. Great stay- highly recommend. Especially if you like midcentury modern design!

Each room was unique and a beautiful mix of old and new. The room was spacious and had tons of character and style to it. The bar and dining areas were also stylish and happening in the evenings and the cocktails were delicious! LOVED it here! Perfect location too!

We stayed at this property for two nights and found it very comfortable. It is a 500 year old building, so if you are looking for sound proof windows, or perfectly level floors than this is not your place. If you are looking for a fun and nice location this is it! If you are looking to hear some random person playing a violin in the evening, walk to dinner and want to walk around Rome and explore this location is great. We walked to the Vatican in under 30 minutes. We taxi (Uber app) too and from Roma Termi Station. We taxied to the Colosseum. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

I really wanted to like this hotel. It was very beautiful. However, I had an early morning and was trying to get to bed early. I could not get the lights to turn off. I tried to call the front desk, but the phone in the room did not work. I spent 20 minutes trying to get the lights off when one of the light bulbs made a scary popping noise and all the lights went out. Nothing worked including the outlets. I was already in my pajamas and given the front desk location, it would mean going by the bar which opened onto the street so I would have been I full view of many people. I kept trying the phone which FINALLY got someone to check on the room. He fixed the breaker which gave me power again but by this time I was too exhausted to figure out the lights. Thank goodness there was a door between the sitting room and the bedroom. But it was still ridiculous that the basics of a room didn’t work.

G Rough is the perfect boutique luxury hotel
The location is absolutely incredible. No where else in Rome can you find a gorgeous hotel that is perfectly small and intimate, in a wonderful location, and with great staff and amenities.

One of the best checking in experiences I have had. We felt very welcome. The lobby can be a bit cold in the winter, as there is a breeze coming in through the front door. The room is very nice. Definitely recommend the place but the breakfast is too expensive for 35e. Loads of places around the corner to get your food fix.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at G-Rough. The rooms exceeded all expectations - absolute stunner of a boutique hotel in a prime location. We stayed in a room on the 2nd floor in the front of the building and it was very silent. The bed was extremely comfortable and the water pressure for the shower was perfection. I highly recommend this hotel for a very luxurious stay. It has the feel more of an exclusive apartment than a hotel room. book now!

Let me just say this hotel was actually one of the things I was most looking forward to on this trip. I somehow stumbled across this hotel called G-Rough, online. It wasn't a resort or chain hotel property. G-Rough is a boutique hotel with ten rooms in Piazza Pasquino. The building, once a home, was built in the 17th century and recently made into a hotel that takes its inspiration from mid-century Italian architects/designers. Our room was named for and inspired by Italian architect/designer, Afra Scarpa. The rooms furnishing are all mid-century modern and the walls are raw, or rough (hence part of the hotel name), with colours exposed from stripping away centuries old paint. The room had three large windows that opened to a view of the palazzo and it was stunning! Staff was kind and courteous and ready to assist with any request. Perfectly located to make all the "must do" attractions walk-able or a short taxi ride away. I wish there was a G-Rough in every city in the world! Extraordinary.
